Twitch has been compromised

Found some internal powerpoints for jannies (Twitch-IT/titan-chef-workspaces/cookbooks/titan_windows/files/default).

I may not like fags but good fucking grief are they an awful looking bunch. It almost looks like Jim Sterling's abomination child from space. Look fucking right at the very least.
Sadly Twitch kind of has a monopoly, so not much choice if you want to stream (I aint using fucking Facebook shit and Youtube barely makes any difference)
Who the fuck has the patience to watch a retard gain some e-fame nowadays? I have better use of my time by not giving attention to mega-retards on the internet expose themselves.
I read all those snippets from their guidelines and presentations and officially decided: I'm getting too old for this shit.
I don't care about those streamers getting money, because idiots throw that money willingly at them.
I don't care that a "socialist" feeds said idiots lies while sipping champagne and living the big life while he probably never experienced real poverty or working a shit job.

But dear god am I pissed about all this "nono"-words, hugbox-shit and how the generation after me willingly shovels this idiocy in their brains while ignoring the real problems, so they can whine online about "social injustice" using the newest i-shit they nagged their parents to buy for them. Thank god, there are still some normal people around here, the rest of the internet turned to assbrain-cancer...
Don't worry, deep down we are all autistic niggers with common sense in clown world.

based on the other images posted from this, i can only say this is the most schizophrenic policy i've seen in my life. it's also something twitch has never adhered to. their global moderators are unknown and unaccountable, and they've been on notice for issuing spurious bans for years. one of the items on my wish list from this leak is full transparency of actions taken by these individuals.

One would think that the content creators would organize and collectively bargain some more say in their livelihoods but nobody is that smart.

Especially the breadtubers like Hasan, but it seems like he's getting by so why give a fuck?

Twitch's policies really only exist as legal CYAs. I think we probably had the same discussion when Leafy got sacked from YouTube without warning. If you really fuck up (like DrDisrespect did) the policy won't stop you from Jeff's penitent rage.

Accountability for moderators is one of the things I wish more sites took seriously, because a paper trail is important. Look at Reddit, for example.

(Wagies) got to move these, refrigerators, got to move these color TVVVvvvvvs.

Besides a great song, the look on his face pretty much sums up how I (and pretty much all of us) feel about these monthly incomes.
Twitch Streamers are modern day rock stars apparently.

“The little faggot with the earring and the makeup. Yeah buddy, that’s his own hair. The little faggot got his own jet airplane. The little faggot, he’s a millionaire.”

That is a (sadly) censored verse from the song.

I think Dire Straits’ “Money for Nothing” is WAY more fitting to twitch streamers than we thought…

Critical is coping hard that the twitch numbers got dropped. Can't archive right now.

more like spreading misinformation by saying "the main thing that got released was streamer income" and in the same breath getting it wrong how much was released. he then goes on to downplay the severity of how the website/company which has monopolized and fully corporatized video livestreaming just got compromised and the source code powering their monopoly, in all its forms, has been dispersed across the net. ((but then at the very ass end of the video he forgets all of what he just said and then contradicts the content of the entire video up to this point. turns out the source code being leaked was a big deal.))

the keynote of the video is how he goes into talking about Hasan using the above non-parenthetical points, and again downplays it simply as ''he's successful, and people are acting so surprised that it turns out he was rich, when he's always had his sub count available!" nobody, to my knowledge, is unironically seethingly mad over the simple fact that any one of these streamers is making money and being very lucky. that's very silly. it's also a nonpareil example of muddying the waters in a patronizing, condescending tone, treating adults like children.

what people are sincerely angry about, if not angry then upset, is that hasan and his orbiters are unrepentant grifters, and tankies too. he's not the only one, i'm sure. people have every right to pointedly ask why wealthy e-celebrities are begging and manipulating others into spending money, or, hell, telling their audience to tear down society, eat the rich, chores are slavery, but we can fight white supremacy together if you'd just open your wallet and gimme a sub. it wouldn't surprise me if hasan countered the jabs with some ayn rand-esque slant about how his success shouldn't even be possible but he might as well do it rather than someone with lower morals.

shoutout to Charlie, though, for somehow generating 15 minutes of White noise having a whinge about streaming, streamers, and their income.

How many of you are actually jealous of all these streamers most of them making hundreds of thousands a month bascially doing nothing?
Know what? Not me. Know why? Because it's all gonna come crashing down eventually. I used to want to be a YouTuber. Tried for years to get big. Then I watch as all these people who actually make money from YouTube have to hold their tongues and tie themselves in knots to not get demonetized and I'm like "JOKES ON YOU, I WAS NEVER MONETIZED TO BEGIN WITH!". Same thing with Twitch. No king reigns forever and when your e-fame finally dies down you won't have a marketable skillset to survive.

I'm envious, not jealous. I'm happy with what I do. I'm glad these people are happy with what they do. I may never have what they have, and that's fine.

Except DSP, fuck that guy. And maybe Hasan because I just know if these streamers actually tried to fight the managers/corporations for their real worth (you know, an actual socialist belief), he'd shut the hell up.

It doesn't change anything for me because it's impossible to make it as a streamer now.

I'm interested in how these guys try to stay relatable to their audience while sitting on lots of money. Income was always an icky topic for content creators because most of the audience isn't that well off.

Another streamer talking about it. He goes into his numbers on top of what was leaked, and says that usually subs/bits/ads make up about 45% of a streamer's earnings.
interesting and level headed take. but he's got a massive blindspot if he really doesn't understand why the audience cares. it's a business model based around being a pretend friend and underemployed viewers thinking the entertainer is just like them. ppl with money often don't get how big a deal that money is from poverty's perspective.
