Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Airlines are one of the highest expense-lowest revenue industries that exist, and this was the case even before COVID. I'd like to see Southwest go underwater because they... oh who am I kidding they'd just get another fucking bailout if they fired all the unvaxxed.
Well actually, the last bailout Southwest got (back in July) went through Congress... but that was passed 96-1 so it'd just be a rubber stamp type deal. Unless 1) pilots walking off the job becomes a big problem and 2) a bailout becomes partisan and not just something McConnell and Pelosi agree to ram through. Odds aren't good but maybe Southwest could find themselves in financial dfficulty.
At this point the word "terrorism" and "terrorist" will loose their meanings to be "person i don't like", just like every other "ist" and "ism".

The fact that they declared parents terrorists is proof of that.
This already happened to the word Nazi. Now it's just a synonym for "evil" or "someone whose political views I really dislike"

Sometimes you need to make sure you shove their nose in the shit they made and remind them what they're supporting. They might not catch on as fast as the dogs do, but it's better than nothing.

Fascists are when I don't like the government. Socialism is when people have food. Capitalism is when I can't afford the newest Funko pop.

Watch Psaki say something along the lines of those people "choosing to be terminated" sort of like how American citizens "chose to stay in Afghanistan" even though they did want to leave.
She will try. I almost feel bad for the cunt.

Remember if you refuse to abide by the cult you are a terrorist. God I hope they drink the Flavor Aid soon(if they already did not mainline it).

It has been a true joy to watch Biden erase the foreseeable future of the DNC in less than a year.

Not just nazi.
  • Racist
  • Sexist
  • Muh-soggy-knees
  • Ableist
  • Anti-semetic
  • Fascist
That's just off the top of my head. Throughout the 2010s even before GamerGate, Tumblr and Twitter were spewing out so many fucking buzzwords it got hard to keep track of them all.

Goddamn, I hope they do. But for some reason, I was expecting United to be one to pull a retard move of this sort. Southwest usually has been the more savvy airline from a management standpoint. Or their tendency to treat passengers like cattle is finally coming home to roost.
I'm a bit surprised too. I expected one of the legacy carriers to have this problem first. Delta, United, and American were all very vocal and supportive of BLM during the BLM riots so I kinda expected them to do the same with covid vaccine mandates cause that's being on the "right side of history."

I wouldn't mistake performative PR for actual management incompetence here. It cost them nothing to put out a feel-good statement and maybe change their logo to black for a bit.

(Also why it's hilarious when lefties think megacorps give a shit about their pet social issues.)

Even though others have already mentioned Joetato's most recent approval numbers, I think it's interesting to see the long-term visual representation like this. And I wonder, just how low can he continue to go?

Don't know how far he can go, all I know is that there's no reason why he shouldn't stick where he's at right now, or go even lower. It's not like the government is going to get anything done this month.

You right. The legacies didn't do much else other than post a few twitter posts about the BLM stuff and United doing that thing about wanting to hire more "minority" pilots. I hope SWA suffers massive financial losses because of this.

Southwest Airlines cancels more than 1,000 weekend flights

Southwest Airlines canceled hundreds of flights over the weekend, blaming the woes on air traffic control issues and weather.

The airline canceled more than 1,000 flights, or 28% of its schedule, as of 5 p.m. ET Sunday, according to flight tracker FlightAware. That was the highest rate by far of the major U.S. airlines. Next in line were Allegiant and Spirit, which had respectively canceled 5% and 4% of their flights on Sunday, according to the flight tracker. American Airlines canceled 2% of its flights.

Southwest Airlines said in an emailed statement that it had experienced weather challenges in its Florida airports at the beginning of the weekend, which were compounded by unexpected air traffic control issues in the same region. Those issues triggered delays and prompted significant cancellations for the airlines beginning Friday evening.

“We’ve continued diligent work throughout the weekend to reset our operation with a focus on getting aircraft and crews repositioned to take care of our customers," said Southwest Airlines. “With fewer frequencies between cities in our current schedule, recovering during operational challenges is more difficult and prolonged."

The company said that it's allowing customers to explore self-service rebooking options on Southwest.com, where they can get updates on the status of their travel.

However, Henry H. Harteveldt, president and travel industry analyst at The Atmosphere Research Group, based in San Francisco, points to other causes for the cancellations.

First, he says Southwest has scheduled more flights than it can handle, a problem that started in June. He also noted that Southwest operates what’s known as a point-to-point route network, and when a delay occurs, it “cascades” along the remaining flight segments. That's because, for example, a Southwest flight departing Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for the airline's home base of Dallas may make multiple stops along the way.

But Harteveldt says the most troubling reason is the likelihood that some pilots who oppose Southwest's decision to mandate COVID-19 vaccinations are participating in an illegal job action where they call in sick or are engaging in a “work slowdown.”

In a statement Saturday, the airline’s pilot union, Southwest Airlines Pilots Association, said that's not the case.

“SWAPA is aware of operational difficulties affecting Southwest Airlines today due to a number of issues, but we can say with confidence that our pilots are not participating in any official or unofficial job actions," it said.

Harteveldt noted Southwest's woes could linger and affect its fourth quarter financial performance.

“All of this is happening as people are in the midst of booking their Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holiday travel,” he said. “It’s very possible that some people who might normally book on Southwest may see this news and choose to fly other airlines.”

I suppose this is one way of cancelling family get togethers.

"How dare these people interrupt my brunch?!"

Felt good going through 5 pages of burger talk and downvoting every stupid burger post. Seriously, how much duller can you get? No one cares what your personal tastes are, and that has to be the most boring derail I've ever seen.
White women are the scapegoat of right wingers it seems.
Quite frequently, and sometimes they even deserve it. It can be pretty cringe though, especially because extremely online right wingers are pretty embarrassing in their own right. It's less cringe hearing some bubba complaining about women at the bar because he's probably had sex in the past month, and may have even been divorced a few times, while some dork with his hand in his pants watching anime isn't someone I really want to hear about male/female dynamics from (uninformed takes can be theoretically interesting but they also quickly get real dumb and sad).

I'm loving the airline mass action. Love to see a good labor fight. We need a revitalization of labor solidarity and these faggoty attempted pharma mandates using the government as a sword are creating a large grassroots resistance across many fields. Interesting aspect of the political realignment.

God, please let public transportation be next, like @SSF2T Old User hypothesized.

God, are you a stick in the mud. Biden's boring when he's not being a class-A fuckup, there's only so many times you can say "Biden's sleepy and he's a bad President" before it gets old without any fresh material.
