After sifting through the data I have...questions

How is it possible Reset-era is routinely pulling in 60 million views or more for the last 3 years? Are there that many tranny's in the gaming sphere? That number seems really high for what we've seen in the past and current trends.

If it is indeed pulling in 700K per year in advertising,which seems pretty low for 60mil views honestly, then how stupid would you have to be to sell such a cash cow? Really the chink is selling out for what he can basically pull in 3 3/4 years. I guess he feels that Reset-era doesn't have much of a lifespan if he's bailing when its raking in the cash?

All in all...these numbers and this deal...much sus.

If these were the first round of offers then there would be more. If they weren't, he's been trying to sell for at least two years since that's how long it can take to get your best offer.

Chances are those numbers are inflated, they always use every possible metric available in creative ways in order to increase the valuation of one of this things if they are looking for a buyer.

There's also the entire other aspect of it, of being tired of dealing with the mentally ill and the looming threat of the mods trying to unionize or some other commie nonsense and the community collapsing in on itself when the owner refused to hand out his well earned money.

I guarantee the site would have died due to commie-drama in a few years tops, better to just cash out and live the rest of your life in luxury.

i'm only here because this thread is featured, but if you own a faggoty internet forum that is somehow still both popular and profitable in 2021, the most based possible thing to do is to sell big, take the money and run, and never post again. bravo cerium
 
I am perversely curious if resetera is actually a good place to discuss vidya once you ignore the politics. My gut says no but then again there really is nowhere good.

Their whole point of politics hinges around their belief that you can't ignore politics, unfortunately. I don't really play vidya anymore but it's a good news aggregate to look at the thread topics - just don't click them.

god I hope the new owners are looking at this unironic autistic tranny meltdown and having the biggest buyers remorse you could imagine.

i foresee see a massive shake up in their moderation staff. I think the moderators are going to go on strike and demand that these new rich Chinese buyers give them all a paid salary so they can ban transphobia and buy the latest Pikachu dilator without leaving their homes.

I guess I’m just wondering if it’s better than the way coomer fanboys discuss games, which nowadays is every bit as political just in opposition (as in, just doing what they think resetera would dislike even if it’s retarded).

What's going to happen is that the new people who run the forum will be non-english speakers, everything will be changed to pushing Mobile Gaming Scam Apps and Gambling Apps, and a fuckton of chatbots will run rampant.

They're honestly about the same, they both push garbage software for things other than the main game mechanics. Horseshoe theory is very much in effect, they'll support fucking China if it meant getting a one over on a single feminist.
