If there was any such dirt on Manchin it would've already been used. Cannot forget these bills were up for vote earlier and died with nary a whimper; anything the Biden admin or Dems had on Manchin would've been used at that point. Hell potentially even sooner since Schumer was chomping to eliminate the filibuster at the start of this year.

Manchin holds all the cards right now which is why they're resorting to these increasingly desperate moves.

If it turns out the vaccine really isn't all it was chalked up to be, I can already smell the media spin titles - "Vaccination was never about COVID - It was about proving you care about others"

Such a fate is still in the cards too - While the Vaccine is highly effective (marginally less so than natural immunity), the evidence is mounting that its only a 4-6 month solution. The hope was the boosters would help make it 'stick' but doesn't seem like there's any luck there.

It’s just a camel’s nose compliance dry run. If they can shut down the economy and mandate vaccinations, the government can do anything. The real power play is going to be over land ownership and climate change.
