I used to be more politically active working with local gun rights groups. The people became progressively harder to deal with, and being that politically engaged is psychologically and emotionally exhausting.
The same generational disconnects that exist in other areas exist in gun rights too. The older people on the boards at clubs, running events, or running organizations do not understand the younger generations and usually make no attempt to do so.
I'm more asking because I worked in a limited capacity with ASRPA and AZ CDL and noted one of the younger activists started being angry with everything despite his best efforts. Someone's probably sent you the article on them at some point and he was a big speaker during the 2019 March for Our Rights deal. The AZ community from what I've observed is full of old people with a "Fuck you, got mine" attitude that seems to be entirely and completely detrimental to the community at large.
