US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

To be honest? I can get close. I've got a lot of really weird skills that I can dust off, a lot of them are like riding a bike.

I'm not a prepper, I'm a survivalist. Big difference.

I won't like it, but I'll get used to it.

EDIT: BUT, I will admit, probably 99.9% of the USA isn't in the same boat. Nobody ever taught these people how to can, how to make jelly, how to preserve food, how to butcher livestock and game, how to fish and then clean & eat the fish, how to make a garden, how to start a fire, how to keep 3 cords of wood dry and seasoned, how to keep a wood stove running. Most of them would have no clue how to check the levels on their well or why a big washtub should be in everyone's garage. Most people in the US don't have the room in their homes or storage areas like I do and don't even have any idea of what they need to survive, much less how to get it and how to use it.
Can you skin a buck and run a trot line?

.

Edit: Thinking about it, this doesn't mean people won't just buy up all the bottled soda and still create a shortage for it.

CO2 is getting pinched currently. Lots of us industrial users on a ration from suppliers. Seeing the same thing this side of the pond but we're a few months more advanced into the shortage. Multipacks of carbonated water in m&s went on a 1per customer limit in my local m&s for example

Why don’t they just pull some CO2 from our oh-so contaminated atmosphere? We’re practically swimming in it from all of our greenhouse emissions!

17 state attorneys general wrote a letter slamming Biden and Garland for their school board letter. It's brutal.
Today, we write to you in our capacity as State Attorneys General, chief legal officers for our respective states. Over the last year, as legal officers, we have advised our constituencies of their constitutional right to free speech and encouraged public engagement to voice their opinions on important issues affecting their country, state, and communities, especially parents who have concerns about their children’s education. Your recent action seeks to chill lawful dissent by parents voiced during local school board meetings by characterizing them as unlawful and threatening.
In fact, in no known instance, has there been anything like the burning, looting, police assaults, vandalism and other criminal activity that occurred in the summer of 2020. We note that to date your administration has done nothing to bring those thousands of perpetrators to justice and we could not find where the NSBA condemned any of that outright and documented criminal behavior.
To that end we request that you immediately withdraw the October 4, 2021 Memorandum, to immediately cease any further actions designed to intimidate parents from expressing their opinions on the education of their children, and demand that you respect their First Amendment rights to freedom of speech and to raise their children.

The states are: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.

I'm disappointed to not see Florida on that list.

Dude he's severely impaired. When the Soviet Union was winding down they had one demented old dolt after another leading the country. Does this remind you of anyone?

Why did the politburo put demented old men on the top seat in commie Russia? For exactly the same reason that the DNC put Biden where he is.
Clicked a random moment in that video and got this:

The simulation is getting so very tired.

I'm probably slow but the "Let's Go Brandon" rap is hilarious

‘Let’s go Brandon’ – #1 hip-hop song on iTunes inspired by Joe Biden meme

The “Let’s go Brandon” meme lampooning President Biden is taking over the internet. It continues to blanket conservative news sites and social media accounts, getting repurposed in all sorts of different ways. From now adorning merchandise for sale to serving as the message chanted by crowds in all kinds of settings, like at sports games. But perhaps the most improbable turn of events for this anti-Biden slogan embraced by critics of the president is that it’s now also been turned into a hit rap song. One that, in fact, is sitting at #1 on the iTunes hip-hop chart as of the time of this writing.

The song is by rapper Loza Alexander, which first went viral on TikTok.

Its chart success is the culmination of a groundswell of virality the phrase has steadily garnered since October 9. That’s when this whole thing started, with NASCAR driver Brandon Brown winning a race at Alabama’s Talladega Superspeedway.

NBC sports reporter Kelli Stavast was interviewing him after his win. During the interaction, the crowd could be heard at one point chanting an expletive at President Biden. Whether Stavast misheard the chant — or heard it, but decided to pretend it was something else — she acknowledged it on air by noting that the crowd seemed to be chanting not “F— Joe Biden” but rather “Let’s go, Brandon!”

“Brandon, you also told me — as you can hear the chants from the crowd, ‘Let’s go, Brandon’ — Brandon, you told me you were gonna kinda hang back those first two stages and just watch and learn,” Stavast said during the interview. “What did you learn that helped you in those closing laps?”

Vote 2021: Is a ‘red wave’ coming? Republicans hopeful that trouble in DC and Albany will bring positive election results

With Election Day just a few weeks away, some are wondering if there will be a “red wave” on Long Island due to former Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s resignation and President Joe Biden’s relatively low approval rating.

State and Nassau County Democratic Party Chair Jay Jacobs says he thinks voters are more focused on what’s happening locally, including in the county executive race in Nassau County.

“I think what’s on voters’ minds is whether or not Democrats in Nassau County have done a good job or a bad job,” Jacobs says. “Yes, the political environment does have an impact. At this moment in time, with the polling that we’re doing, we’re not feeling it going against Democrats.”

Republicans, however, say that the Democratic-led bail reform package passed in Albany will be a factor in the district attorney races taking place in both Nassau and Suffolk.

Suffolk County Republican Chairman Jesse Garcia says cashless bail is a revolving door, meaning people can commit a crime one hour and be out on bail in 90 minutes.

“These policies that the liberal Democrats have enacted in Washington D.C. and in Albany are now demonstrating to the voters about the mistakes they made,” Garcia says.

Political consultant Mike Dawidziak predicts that most independent voters will be voting Republican because they don’t see the Democrats in Washington delivering and don’t like what they see in Albany in terms of bail reform and talks about defunding the police.

This year’s elections are expected to be dramatically lower than the 2020 presidential election.

Both parties are hoping their faithful voters will show up.

Over a decade ago I watched some presentation by warren were she explained some of the economic ills of the american middle class. Basically why our standard of living stalled out, why bankruptcy s went up, the horror show that is school districts and how they effect the price of housing.

I know A&N is down on her, and my information is waaay outa date but she always struck me as one dem that honestly talks about real problems facing real Americans.
I posted this in the DSP bankruptcy thread. We were talking about DSP not having credit cards, and I argued that they threw 30% APRs at him the moment his bankruptcy came official for two reasons: (1) he will pay the minimum forever, (2) he can't do anything about it for 7 more years.

Maxed Out: Hard Times, Easy Credit and the Era of Predatory Lenders (2006)

Here is Warren's part. This was 15 years ago, and she actually seems normal here which is bizarre.

Here is what I THINK is the entire 90 minute documentary. I saw it on Showtime one day and was really interested in it.

Statewide, NYC is too much, but Staten Island is heavily red, and the entirety of "upstate" is only blue by a 51-49 margin. Republicans can easily make inroads at the local level outside NYC. Everyone near me already hates Hochul more than Cuomo.

Seems really optimistic, tbh.

Blue Texas is a meme for a reason, and so is Red Cali.

Hmmm.. You know although I usually endorse the idea most of the democrat speakers were just major grifters or had Chinese brainwashing done on them... Maybe it's simply they are primarily old and younger dems pushed these nonsensical ideas on them. When you get older you're more likely to accept ridiculous claims and ideas than when you're younger when you have a sound mind and more prone to reject stupidity. That still doesn't explain the younger democrat's being total nutjobs pushing this insanity though even if that were to be the case.
