Ah okay, thank you for clearing that up. In that one vocaroo that was posted earlier, that sounded like a schizophrenic podcast, it almost sounded like Shad had removed his patreon out of some kind of "noble" action. Probably because of his inactivity and since he's not Spoonyone, he didn't want to profit off of not working (at least, this is how it was re-contextualized). It was also a slight to Stamper, or at least, Stamper took it as a slight against him and he was just adding on to his lists of grievances. I think the whole moment of Shad entering was mostly just posturing and him gloating some moral superiority, in a very misguided 'intervention' with Stamper.

Patreon becoming more cautious with its platform, as you said, is probably the most likely actual reason. Whereas Shad and his friends span it in a way to make Shad look like he was the one ironically 'growing up' and taking a stance in the 'Stamper Needs Help' Party.

All of it is so ironic now, seeing that Shad has done what Stamper did times a hundred and it has only been a few days.

Took a quick skim of his twitter. He APPEARS to be taking active steps to distance himself away from it and even put it in his header, which, good for him if he's trying to better himself. Just be on the lookout for any secret pawoo accounts with SUSPICIOUSLY SIMILAR art styles if not using the outright same name and following degenerate 'lolicon' artists. There are plenty of past and existing examples and it's fairly disturbing.

I might have my artists mixed up but IIRC he hardly ever leaves his apartment and had a breakdown because one of his neighbors (elderly man) died and had no friends for family so the body wasn't discovered until there was a smell, and Minus8 feared it was an omen of what was going to happen to him. He's just some hikkikomori that people don't have an inciting incident to get reported.

I liked shad's work back when he drew like shit. Back in the day, there was a charm to intentionally shitty looking art; it was kind of a childish fuck you to conventional work. Of course, I don't think his art looks bad now, but there's no real charm to it anymore.
