That whole date ed episode is so fucking weird and creepy, a true window into the mind of a sexual offender. The teacher says she won't assign herself a teenage lover only because it's against school rules and she's taken - so she'll assign other adults to the task. Yeah, there's only so many times you can give him the benefit of the doubt. Each of these weird things by themselves can be explained away, but there's certainly a pattern of sex not happening purely because of external rules. Rules that Chris cares less about each passing day.

I'd say it's both. For one, Barb manipulated Chris into not having a life outside her (she didn't want Chris to be like another Cole), and with the factor that is his autism, it was easy for her. If the spooning scenario is any inclination, Barb is very messed up, then again, so is Chris.

It used to be, if I needed to do something but couldn't be bothered I'd put on a Chris Chan video for motivation. It would remind me what happens if you give up and only follow your whims. It was a "there but for the grace of god go I" situation. The mother fucking changed my view of Chris in that it's just sad to compare my life to his in any way.
Similarly it makes it extra difficult to talk to real people about him. Pre-motherfucking you'd try to explain your hobby of enjoying chistory and you'd look like an asshole who supports the bullying of an autistic kid, that people want to like. I have a hard time with the ethical implications of torturing a mentally handicapped man such as Chris.
The only times I feel okay about it are when Chris has been behaving like such an arrogant, entitled, narcissistic piece of shit that he makes it pretty much impossible to feel sorry for him. Fortunately, that happens pretty frequently.
Just because someone is mentally handicapped does not automatically make them a good person, and Chris is evidence of this fact. A tard can be an immoral piece of shit, just like a non-tard can be immoral.

Most of this Chris did to himself. Cyberbullying isn't real, just turn off your PC, just walk away. Also, Chris isn't smart, but he is not mentally handicapped either. Also, he though that people were plotting something against him even before the first trolling, yet he kept coming back for more.
