I don't know how people can find the woman so attractive that they don't hear the words she actually says, but from what I gathered during the DNC presidential nomination debates she's just as left as the rest of the candidates were but is openly pro-military. Two reasons why I can think of:
1) The "illusion" that they are making progress when they clearly aren't. The deadlines that pass by will just be memory-holed.
2) For some bizarre reason, maybe they think with a hard date that Manchin and Sinema will cave? Most shit doesn't get done until hours before the deadline anyway. Maybe without a deadline, there is "no incentive" to push things along?
