She is in Austria right?
View attachment 2672495

I wonder how this random interactions go IRL. I doubt they are approaching her cause she is Keeki and not for being the chicken.
Was about to post that too. Keeki/Kiara being greeted by "lots of strangers". I will take a guess and say it's her cosplayer circles, not holofans.
Like her friend's friends, since it sounds like it was a bigger meetup. They would know and greet her since she's a relatively famous cosplayer.

She lives in Vienna, Austria indeed.
I'd say it's probably an even simpler explanation. Since she's back in Austria (and doesn't get out much) she's still not readjusted from Japan and isn't used to the fact that outside of Japans social autism people will actually greet you or say something more than "sumimasen" to people they don't know, or shoot bewildered gazes at the gaijin. A lot of folks that spend a good amount of time in Japan have that bit of culture shock upon returning home.
They are a painful minority, really Ayame graduate tomorrow and she will be less mourned that Coco or Aloe
in the west maybe, She's got a pretty hardcore following in JP, those song covers of hers don't outpace most of her peers in views for no reason. (I say this as someone who keeps up with the weekly rankings on hololive music)
I'd rather be an internationally infamous nigger-word sayer than a fuckin weeb.
But Null, nowadays Vtubers ARE the internationally infamous nigger-word sayers, the future is now old man

Spooky Guerilla Karaoke
It's interesting that so many of the girls do Witch Doctor, because you'd expect the cancel crowd to flip their shit over a song based on a caricature of African culture that goes hard on mocking African languages.

Spooky Guerilla Karaoke
She has a decent voice but, man, her rhythm and timing are all over the place. She is cute and having fun though and that's what counts.

edit: oh god! she is ending the stream with the most horrific choice: a Christmas song at Halloween

I am not sure she would even make that connection. Are the songs they sing pre-approved by management at all?

Are you sure that every adult man can lift 50 kilograms with one hand? I'm think there are many people who can't even lift that weight with two hands.
I've curled 110 lbs before, but a sack of rice or hikki in a baseball cap would be harder to manage. Easy to throw over your shoulder, though.

Artia also had a hardcore fanbase the point is she doesnt get clip and has to be dragged to events, i can assure you that this year you are lucky if you see her on the sport festival

someone mentioned coco said the 3d rig cover uses is apparently quite expensive, but it might have gotten cheaper or cover was willing to loan them out since rushia for example started using it too (although she'll forever be 2d).
you also have to consider EN is dabbling with it out of necessity, I doubt they'd do it that much if they had the same access as the JP girls, and some of JP might prefer 2d, korone and nene's doodles wouldn't be possible or a lot more work in 3d, or simply for the look itself.

on top of that would be the usual license stuff for the games, with rhythm also could have issue with the songs itself, shit like that tends to be a bit exceptional even before you consider nip policies.
space shouldn't be that much of an issue, unless you want to do roomscale but the they already got a whole studio for that. most other stuff works just fine in a 6x6 feet space or seated.
Yeah, the ones that have Home 3D already are still mostly just head-tracking, it might be the full-body tracking that's expensive.

The EN girls do their Walfie tracking with Vive/Index hand and foot trackers, which are cheap, but since the Walfie models aren't supposed to look realistic, it's a lot easier to look past poor tracking on them. In fact, in Ina's VR art stream today, she mentioned that her foot trackers weren't working, so it was using IK (software guessing where to put the legs, basically) and it just looked cute on the Walfie model, but probably would have looked scuffed as hell on a regular one.

For rhythm games, there are so many out there that they could hopefully get permissions for at least a few. Some even allow you to provide your own music and the game map is generated algorithmically, although that's never even close to as good as games with a nice handmade beatmap.

Regarding space, I was just wondering if the smaller average living space in Japan in general, makes VR less popular in Japan in general (rather than thinking of it as a limiting factor for any particular Hololive talent). I can't find any good statistics on VR popularity in Japan as compared to the US.

Might be late on this, but Korone's stream reservation is up for playing that game that's Tsugunohi-but-with-Korone-in-it:

Oh I mean I don't disagree that she doesn't do much, I just disagree with the notion that it wouldn't be a big deal if she graduated.

Her clip count is a weird thing to compare with Artia, it'd be noteworthy with Artia because Artia streamed a good bit, Ayame doesn't, but there's always clips of her streams when she does, those streams are just few and far between so the count stays low.

Just glancing at playboard and comparing her with someone like Kanata, Ayame's streams when she does stream get double or more the number of views and her average for live viewer count is over 20k. So yeah I'd definitely say that any assumptions about how her graduation wouldn't be a big deal is assuredly a purely non-JP perspective.

Ghost Ame is doing the spoopy unarchived karaoke too, in 30 min

www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBEUkdPQZU4

All the practice Ame has been doing has really payed off, you almost can't tell she has serious problems with being tone deaf... I spoke too soon, there's the Ame I love to listen to doing karaoke "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and "Piano Man", though the latter was better then previous attempts.

It is cool to see her improvement over time, though I'll miss her tone deaf singing, if she gets too good at it.

Ame is now doing Britney Spears - Toxic with auto tune and it doesn't know how to work with her tone deaf singing, it's hilarious.

Edit: I love seeing over 15k people being blessed and tortured by Ame's singing.

Someone a few pages back, someone mentioned GirlDM had popped up in their recommends. I watched the video and now I've got a dozen clips as well. Some of them are pretty interesting though.

The latter one especially. I had thought, given how expressive and reactive the expressions are, that she was using some expensive tech to do her tracking. Something more like CodeMiko. But it seems like it's just an iPhone and software.

Which really makes me wonder why an indie can do this while Cover...

Well... I love Marine, but the tracking is so rudimentary in this clip that she might as well be using a jpg.

Don't want to be argumentative or anything. I've spazzed out enough this year on the thread.

We have talked about the tech GirlDM uses previously in the thread, and a lot of other EN vtubers have tried this tech out as well, including Ironmouse, Snuffy, a couple other Vshojo members and probably a lot more, but I don't keep track of the indie scene that well.

While the face/eye/mouth tracking is amazing, it suffer from two main issues, Ironmouse mentioned it's resource intensive and was unable to play games and use that model at the same time. (Granted that was before she upgraded her computer) the other issue and the one I have the most problem with is the same-face aspect of the models so far, not to say that couldn't be sorted out, it hasn't yet. I will say I am interested to see where this tech can go in the future.

Cover could definitely do with better tracking, though there have been decent improvements in both their 3d and L2d 2.0 models and tech. Some of their models are great, others not so much, so it begs the question whether it's just their in-house tech or also the riggers skill, also how well the streamer sets up the camera and can manipulate the model. I do also wonder what method they use to get face tracking during their 3d lives and events.

Turns out it was a con that she got greetings at.
At least one, possibly two of them were chickenfags. This creep named "KFP Inquisitor" waited for keeki at the con's entrance and gave her an irl gift of some kind, together with his friend.

"Thank you so much, I was perplexed but it's really sweet of you two."

Is this the first confirmed instance in Hololive history of fans meeting a roommate?

We still not on the level of chicken cosplay at herself and appear at the convention. She did cosplay as FBK in the past and I wonder what held her back from cosplaying as herself and appear at those comicon

I can shit on the bird sometimes, but she handled that with tact. Good job Keeki. No one would have benefited from her losing her spaghetti or breaking keyfab.
