Maybe he knew there was a chance and decided not to hint at it in any way so that when it finally dropped people would actually be interested in watching it. Or maybe his manager kept things under wraps because she knows he might be dumb and say something stupid and fuck it up.

For example, if there was a big event, there might be awkward silence because some of the Hololive members don't know how to interact with them or even worse, they don't want to show up. Hololive was trending upwards, do you risk that success with a smaller, niche market? Another risk in combining branches is you risk losing that something that separates you from other vtuber companies. Just something to think about.

Overall i feel like they did the right thing knowing how retarded some of the fans are. In an ideal world they could've done a better job integrating them so that it wouldnt feel like completely different things.
