The Tranch is like The Walking Dead tv show. Endless seasons of the main characters doing the same dumb shit ober and over without ever learning anything. Destroying everything they touch while 'defending themselves' without ever realizing that they are the bad guys. Many spinoffs that are just the same ridiculousness in different locations.

Their alpaca have thin coats and are in poor condition with very little body fat, both issues caused by poor husbandry. At least they dug a pit ahead of time to bury them all in.
It's been pointed out that it's extremely unlikely that they'll ever be investigated for animal cruelty.

However does anyone know what the local enviromental regulations are on burying large amounts of dead animals? There are reasons disposal of animal Carcasses is tightly regulated in much of the world. It can pose massive enviromental, and public health risks, even if they bury them deep enough and the risk is just to the water table.

Yeah, there’s a pretty deep dive on it a few dozen pages back. Tl:dr they’re not going to get busted for anything.

They've supposedly been delivering the dead to the wolf sanctuary, so burial is so far not a problem. The sanctuary has 16 resident wolves/ wolf-dog hybrids so a quick bit of back of the envelope figuring tells me that they'll eat ~3 alpacas a day, 60 days sub freezing temps in a Co winter ... nothing to bury. The wolves would comfortably eat the lot.

Unfortunately, the animals freezing to death while the Tranchers get off scot-free (again) seems like the most likely outcome. Their alpaca have thin coats and are in poor condition with very little body fat, both issues caused by poor husbandry. At least they dug a pit ahead of time to bury them all in.
I thought Alpacas were from the Andes, I thought they'd be ok in the cold.
That might be Llamas.

Alpacas should be able to handle the cold but I'm pretty sure these true and honest tards sheared them at the wrong time of year
They did, from my understanding, depending on climate, you can shear Alpacas twice before needing to let them grow a winter coat to keep, you know, until you shear them in the spring to repeat the process.

Am I reading correctly that they have nine Great Pyrenees on that wasteland? Those are big, clever, barky dogs. If they're untrained, untended, and bored I could easily see them making trouble for the neighbours. Seriously, they're mischevious and very smart. Smartest thing on the ranch probably.

What are the chances that 41% of the wolves die after eating those Alpacas?
