So annoying that Olly deleted all of his comments under Contrapoints videos (probably in a fit of narc rage) because it looks like they were juicy.
Less juicy but still up currently:

When Olly said he was dating an actress in June of 2018 that he would sometimes have scenes with, was he lying? Did he mean Contrapoints? Or was he cheating on his girlfriend with Contrapoints? Anyone have any opinions on this? Pretty much just baseless speculation here but I'm inclined to think he was cheating.

Seems to me like Nyk managed to convince himself that Olly is "an absolute Chad". Like, are there still people that aren't convinced that they dated? Olly even said that the person he was dating at this time was obsessed with Versace.

Nyk started commenting on his videos in 2018 (first comment seems to be from Feb 23rd, 2018 , around when they started livestreaming together, and stopped in the middle of 2019. This matches up with the theory that Olly was Nyk's "Chad" and that they dated mid 2018-late 2019. I'm not seeing any comments from Contrapoints after "Men. Abuse. Trauma.", so I have to wonder, did Olly make the "Queer" video (posted Oct 28, 2019, no comment from Contra) when he was still dating Contrapoints? I have to assume they were still together then, because how weird would it be if Olly made a video where he talks about how he fucked Contra and sucked his dick right after Contra broke up with him.

I think I realized the answer to the question I asked before about "why" PT pisses me off so much the way he does. I've never experienced such a weirdly hostile parasocial....thing....before. I almost loathe the dude and I dont even know him. I think it's because for a little while, for maybe about a year or so, I *really* liked PhilosophyTube. Like more than I liked Contrapoints, and I liked Contra quite a bit. I would get excited when a video would drop and would kinda schedule when to watch it and some of the topics were in fact super-interesting and some of them, I even walked away having had an epiphany about the topic discussed. This shames me to admit now. I never got all simpy or parasocial but I was just your basic good, big fan. And I feel embarrassed and kinda let down. Ugh.

Nowadays ANY sort of insight or intelligence or intellectual honesty is just....it's gone. None detected, has left the building. And he's just purely a narcissistic fake trans CorporateTube and ugh. I guess I'm sad and I hate this part of myself.

Some of the old Oliver-era videos (all of which are new to me) are quite interesting in hindsight. I’m watching Suicide and Mental Health and I cannot believe how slimy and cringe it is. His fake tears and histrionic pronouncements are such bullshit. He’s no better than Onision. After he DRAMATICALLY reveals his alleged 2 suicide attempts…he starts complaining about…..waiting lists….for mental health services. It’s so obvious that he’s just desperately flailing about for victim status and sYsTeMiC oPpReSsIon. He says he only gets two half-an-hour sessions a month, over the phone. As though he couldn’t afford private therapy? I’m literally confused how this asshole has such a good reputation when, like I said, he is literally Onision, who is afaik, generally reviled.

For those unaware (as I was until just now) his whole “cosmonauts” schtick is a manipulative ploy to develop a para-social relationship with his (obviously mentally ill) audience. Basically people who have grappled seriously with mental health issues are like cosmonauts, having been to places others can’t imagine. He ends the video by singing “Rocket Man” off key. We don't need to do anything, and with this sort of thing its always best to look not touch. He's the kind of guy who will eventually fly too close to the sun and have some big, humiliating controversy, I've already noted how he doesn't seem to really interact very much with the rest of breadtube anymore apart from Lindsay Ellis, and that might be a literal contract. Considering that and his many girlfriends he's run through with apparently disastrous results, not to mention the fact that one of those girlfriends is Contrapoints and clearly has very bad feelings towards him, I think he's an intrinsically alienating person and its plain to see why from paying attention to him for just a little while.

nah, I'm the person who is about his age from his town who has never met a single person who knows him (that i know off- i’ve got some suspicions but I don’t know them well enough any more to bring it up)
which is bizarre cos it’s a very small town and everyone knows everyone by one or two connections max.

I was at an event with Oliver a couple of years ago and briefly met him. He’s a bit shiny and red in real life so I wonder how much makeup he piles on for his streams and videos. He is absolutely huge as well. I’m a tall cis woman and he towered over me and had a torso at least twice as wide as mine. Any post-transition pictures of him next to cis women will look very interesting .

What was particularly noticeable at the event was just how much he talked over women there. He also largely ignored women who tried to speak to him but was very eager to talk to men. Very unusual for someone who is supposedly a woman and a feminist.

Yes, or they'll try their very best to get their movement to incorporate the identity struggles of an "intersectional alliance." It was alleged on 4chan that bigger Breadtubers like Lindsay Ellis and ContraPoints were trying to get Black creators, particularly Kat Blaque, to become more involved in the community. This would look good to potential journalists for a followup NYT puff piece, and provide justification for YouTube to pimp out more sjw videos thru the algorithim. Apparently, blaque wants to stay away from the drama, and instead wold perfer to focus on his drawings of male figures in his thumbnails to make him feel smol.

Interestingly enough, this same tactic was tried across the pond with AngieSpeaks, a Black British female leftist who was once part of the Breadtube milleu. She is best known for her previous work with Peter Coffin and his ex wife, and who as of late, been derided by the likes of ManbunPig for being a "class reductionist." On January 29 2019, she participated on a panel hosted by the imperial college union in London which also featured Hbomberguy, BadMouse Productions, and Abigail Thorne himself. Yeah, one thing that ties all of these criticisms together is Olly's complete inability to have an intelligent conversation when prompted. A real expert on philosophy could easily work it into their regular talking. In fact that's one problem with a lot of philsophy people, accidentally making obtuse references and not reading the room. Olly never even attempts this, he's like Greta Thunberg when fielding softball questions and just becoming a deer in the headlights, or shrugging it off like they have a real visceral aversion to saying anything with any depth.

Thank you, it's just what the (segregated healthcare) doctor ordered.

Things that Ollie couldn't pull off: "young", "90s Winona Ryder vibe", "leader", "Queen Bee", "sunny", "magnetic", "generous", "loyal", "couple goals", "one of the popular kids" or depicting a complex and nuanced relationship with faith.

Things that Ollie could pull off but would fuck up: "self assured in her gender identity", but overly self-assured and fetishistic of specifically being a trans woman over a woman. Additionally he could probably do "boo hoo hoo I got kicked out of my house by my parents", because he's had plenty of practice at playing a victim, but he'd not do it in the way the show is probably looking for ("Yeah that happened to me, but I don't dwell on it anymore because I'm a strong person").

The only sense in which this advert is a good fit is "no previous acting experience necessary" because that would allow him to avoid showing his incredibly bad acting showreel that no doubt exists and so he might make it past the first round (until he actually has to audition). Oh and the name, which is an amusing coincidence.

All I’ve got on Kat is that she used to thirstpost about Olly with a fierceness.




Then he transitioned and Kat went mute. She was one of the very few Breadtubers who, like Contra, declined to offer congratulations. Because Kat is an HSTS who’s been burned many times by GAMPs who chase her only to later come out as trans. And it unsettles Kat to learn that men she saw as men — masculine men who wanted her “as a woman,” whatever that means — have now declared themselves women as well, as if they are and were always the same, as if the “heterosexual” dynamics of their previous encounters were never real, and as if she wasn’t an object of desire to them so much as a prop in their self discovery. Sucks to be used.



I feel bad for Kat on a human level because fuck people who treat lovers like ego props rather than people deserving of dignity and respect, but man, does the thirsting after OLLY of all people make me want to slap some sense into her. I never bothered watching his Queer film but I decided to search "Oliver Thorn acting" and this clip came up from it - he did a drag duet with himself.

So I screengrabbed it and then tried to match it with a similar face now, to see what impact HRT has really had on him

It's not quite 1:1 (eyes are open wider, angle is slightly different etc) but you can see the changes. The makeup is doing the heavy lifting (especially with brow shape) and I think focal length is off (one was shot further away but zoomed in, one was shot closer up zoomed out) but he definitely has softer cheeks, which has the next effect of making his nose look a bit smaller (the nose "sinks" into the cheek fat).

It's also entertaining that he was zooming in on the stubble in his little duet for comedic "man in drag" effect when he definitely struggles with beard coverage at times now, even with a professional makeup artist, studio lighting and judicious filters

That might be the worst screenshot of Ollie I've ever nabbed. I haven't fucked with it, he just... looks like that.
