This will give them the opportunity to change their minds. Unless you're afraid of them clocking you, you can talk about trans people in the third person and explain their issues, saying you have a trans friend.

I wouldn't try to go out of your way to make it seem like you're an ally in case they feel "fooled" if they eventually find out (e.g. don't go, "as a cis women I support trans people") but if you can make a neutral statement about trans people that anyone regardless of gender could make (e.g., "actually, trans people are a sexual minority with high rates of homelessness and the more privilged trans people I know are nice and not like that at all"), then it might be worth it.

Please do try to pass yourself off as cis. The family members will totally take you seriously and listen to what you have to say. This tranny is giving you bad advice and there will be no lulz if you follow it.

As troons go Kristy isn't too bad at passing. At 5'11 he'll never pass IRL but his face is far more feminine than 99.9% of all troons seen here. I had to double check to see that he'd said he was a trans woman, especially the last picture where he's wearing makeup and has his hair done. The only other Troon that passes this well in photos IMO is Blair White and he had a million surgeries and so forth.
