Pixar makes Cartoon Network shows now? I'm surprised nobody is talking about how this is gonna be an early 2000s nostalgiafest considering that's when the movie takes place.

You do feel sorry for all the work that traditional animators of before have gave us, only to get replaced by this.

I guess, but their stuff still exists and we can watch it and enjoy it even if they're all dead. The problem is there will probably never be anyone on the level of the best 2D animators of the past working in animation ever again.

Even though I don't like the artstyle of the movie (and the trailer wasn't very good), I appreciate that Pixar's films still have slightly different artstyles at all, unlike modern WDAS where all of their shit looks the same which pisses me off. The Mouse's traditionally animated stuff was intentionally unique and interesting looking for every film, at least in the 90s and 2000s. Ever Disney CG movie these days is like a cheap imitation of Tangled, hopelessly trying to copy what Glen Keene did for that movie.

WOW. That has got to be one of, if not THE worst fourth-wall break I've ever seen in my entirety of watching visual fiction. And trust me, that's saying a lot.

Also, ripping off Duck Amuck? Really?! The writers should commit seppuku for even daring to think of the idea, as they cannot compete with Chuck Jones at his prime. Poor man's spinning in his grave right now, holy SHIT.

Is there anything to talk about regarding Nu-Animaniacs or is it still just as tired and lifeless as the first season was? I honestly forgot that it came out.

You wanna know what that Red Panda thing reminds me of? Marathon(that studio that is from France that made Totally Spies and Martin Mystery). It almost looks like Pixar is taking a late dive into the 'anime wannabe' trend, only its coming out as something that looks like a reject of Steven Unvierse for being too 'miyazkai' like that's lifeless.

Can't say I saw a new Earthworm Jim cartoon coming, but I like the vibe they're going for even if it won't be much like the original cartoon (which IMO was occasionally better than Freakazoid if we're comparing similar shows). As for the Red Pixar thing, it looks decent but not something I'm dying to see. If it's on Disney+ I'll give it a look.

Shit can't belive the guy is that old. Granted I don't know why I'm this surprised considering he's been voicing a character for four decades now. Anyways happy birthday Mr. Bumpass.

Honeslty as I get older. I find most of Squidward lines to be relatable.

Its a big difference that I've noticed in most Golden Age cartoons vs whats made now, or anime. Characters generally had solid skulls and mouths vs the jellybeans and anime shapes that float about today. Its a matter of prioritizing style vs technical details.

The problem is there will probably never be anyone on the level of the best 2D animators of the past working in animation ever again.

Maybe not in the West, but Japan can make some really fine 2D animation once in a blue moon.

You can defiantly tell that Rob Paulsen and Maurice Lamarche recorded there lines over the phone because of Rona.

Do Pausen and Maurice not have Audacity and a decent mic or something?

Some yes, not all of them. Some use pre-made models and backgrounds (especially if its a high school), others snap a photograph and toss the characters into it. Not unlike making a game in Unity with pre-made assets.
