REALITY: They suck and are overpriced.



But if you get ear infections because you sweat hard while pressing buttons, rarely take showers, and have to put on ridiculous hats for tip goals while judging people who dye their hair. They are perfect.

I'm enjoying the fact that the whales aren't even trying to pretend that they're not funding the streams now. This stream's tips were what, 70% from 2 people (who may be the same person)? Maybe OIC will stop faking "organic" donations and will just tip a ton of money with the same account.

How Phil doesn't get desperate when he sees this kind of shit is beyond me. I'd guess that around 70% of his income depends on 10 people or less. Any content creator with half a brain would be looking for a job to have an alternative source of income. Not "DSP The Immortal", though.

DSP already preloaded his excuse why he wont be playing new fighting game. He is one, if not the worst gamer who streams but pretends he is a high level gamer who hates on games "easy to learn" . So what was the last game you mastered again...?

Anyway, funnyly enough, literally the next post on my twitter timeline was a take from an actual pro fighting game player. The difference between their opinion is gigantic.

Phil has clearly shown that he'll never stop being a spendthrift. But even if he did, that doesn't address my main point: if most of your income depends on a small group of people funding you, you should probably look for alternative sources of income.

I thought it was him being contrarian cause you know being a mature adult he can't just be like "it doesn't interest me" or "this is why I don't like it or have my doubts". He wouldn't be wrong they had a lot of promises, personally not a fan of the easy input games, and as they said it's still far off. Far enough to just disappear or get completely overhauled.

Then I saw they have a net code that if Person A is playing Person B and person A has shit internet. Person B won't notice but Person A will suffer.

As much as it pains me to say, I somewhat agree with Phil on Project L. It may end up being good, but does anyone remember Rolling Thunder or what happened to it? (got bought out by Riot and shelved, probably for this) Fighting games are already niche compared to a lot of other genres, and if it doesn't have the right hook to keep people's attention, it's gonna be a flavor of the month before everyone goes back to their favorite series. I also have a hard time trusting a dev studio that doesn't have any history of making a fighting game. I'm willing to eat my words, but Riot's been riding on League for... a decade now? I'll give it a shot, but not expecting much... and Phil should at least do that.

I'm also willing to bet he saw the Cannon brothers and raged at Kat for an hour about "back in the day and before EVO when it was B-5."

Exactly it seemed like a video you send to investors with a lot of promises, buzz words and vagueries. The LoL IP is going to carry it for a month then like pretty much any game that wasn't MK, SF, SMASH, Tekken, DB or GG released in the last 4-5 years forgotten about in a month. It looks aesthetically nice and on paper sounds interesting but it's a wait and see..

The difference between you and Phil, though, is that you are able to intelligently articulate why you're concerned. His dumbass "take" would boil down to some mushmouth bullshit that is "It's not the exact version of Street Fighter 2 Turbo I like."

Indeed. His biggest problem is that he lacks any type of nuance. Its either one extreme or the other. That, and he doesn't know how to put it on the chat so they can have fun and he absolves himself of any blame. For example...

The bottom challenge "Practice makes perfection" is the daily challenge and is available to everyone, but the challenge above it which he just completed "Look, A Head!" is a weekly, something that only battlepass players get to unlock.

So my question is: Why are you lying about buying the battlepass DSP??? Why are you bitching about not being able to get battlepass stuff when you bought it???
