Has Chris ever gotten his hands on some decent art supplies? Copic Markers, Blackwing Pencils, Paper other than copy paper? I know it wouldn't improve the quality of his artwork but I wonder what he reaction would be.

He could be blowing his money on a digital tablet for making artwork or something but instead spends it on ebay on Waifu Fighter 6 for 3DS special edition with the anime titty penHas Chris ever gotten his hands on some decent art supplies? This is why I often wonder how it would've played out had it been a gift card to Michaels he was sent instead of the $500 card he used last September. If you limited where he could spend it, how could he have used it? I think even at $100, he'd be wasting it on Crayola products and whatever candy is sold up front. Even if sent him a gift package of some decent art supplies, I could see him merely throw it off to the side and act like he has nothing to use.He could be blowing his money on a digital tablet for making artwork or something but instead spends it on ebay on Waifu Fighter 6 for 3DS special edition with the anime titty pen
Yeah I mean, you're right. I think the only way he would even give it a second look is if it was a "Paint Sonichu by Numbers" book or something. I've often wondered how he would react if he was sent a best buy giftcard, but only with the balance remaining on it after a purchase was forced on him (like buying a digital art tablet and sending him the remainder), but then I just remember he would probably attempt to return it to a store and instead pick up a bunch of PSN cards.Even if sent him a gift package of some decent art supplies, I could see him merely throw it off to the side and act like he has nothing to use.

avid Gonterman (google him but don't ignore all results, he's a blast) has amply proven that the quality of your materials matters little if you're a hack. Gonty uses bristol boards and ink (and then scans things so everything looks even shittier)
Chris has been taught by TV that all cool artist kids use Crayola, he probably thinks Crayola being an 'art line' that's the best there is already, and what's more his own 'results' lead him to think that Crayola works superbly, why would he need to change? I haven't used Copics yet but I don't think there's anything with them that Chris would notice is different from using his Crayola stuff
Look at how the dude grasps a pen and draws.
He could be blowing his money on a digital tablet for making artwork...
I bet. I would think out of the kindness of someone who gave me the thing, I could at least give it a try.Yeah I mean, you're right. I suppose for Chris, the thing most interesting is him simply being stuck in Square One with his choice of products (ballpoint pen, crayola, copy paper), when he could take the time to try out certain tools and see what may make the results that suits him. He's just sorta continues to use these items out of habit and not think going the extra mile may benefit him in some way.Oh no He wont improve by the magical injection of decent art equipment, but as you said "Chris knows cool kids use Crayola" but it's made me wonder if that's what he uses because that's all he knows. I meen I am on the spectrum (lightly) and I have Dyslexia I have found a smooth flow of Ink in the right colour paper and the right Pen makes a huge difference in the quality of my writing, if I use a bookies pen on something slightly better than bog paper my writing isn't clear, but if I use Clair Fontain and my Star Walker Ballpoint it's crisp an clear in style even if it's slightly misspelled.
I bet. That's neat theory and all but without a control autist it's kinda useless except for idle speculation. I speculate myself that he wouldn't be able to discern the subtle differences in touch/feel/ result that would come with using better materials, and thus he'd be all 'mm, yeah, this is ok, but CRAYOLA, on the other hand..'
It's sad I still think he could've gotten the training to do it right but never did.Look at how the dude grasps a pen and draws.
I could picture him ruining Pentel brush pens easy. He'd blunt a copic to the point where it'd feel the same as any other marker,
Certainly not going to spend a hundred or two on a new drawing/drafting table to have a decent and bigger, slanted surface to work on.regardless of paper (oh wait fancy papers don't fit on his Fisher-Price paper holder thingy, guess he'll never try those either)
It really does. I suppose I've known some people in my life early on who did that too. I just never had that problem myself and it turned out fine for me, it really opened my eyes when one art teacher showed me how to draw using my whole arm to move rather than my wrist and I could see the difference clearly.I have replicated that grip and fuck me is that taxing, I know he's used to it but after about 10 - 20 seconds the tips of your fingers shut down, your incapable of fine motor control.
The way he holds his wrist is bizarre and is taught for his "Style" If you try holding a Pen or Pencil and only apply finger movement you wont be able to shape a letter in any individual fashion.
He presss down on a pen, this is sort of common when it comes to people on the spectrum. like chris your writng is always going to be awful. he holds a finger on the tip of a pen to get it to ink a page, this isn't how pen and ink normally work. He presses down with a finger to lay ink on a page (this is partly why felt tip pens work for him) the stroke hasn't got a efect to him as his wrting and drawing are the same.
His whole style reflects the poor upbringing he had, and his negotiation style.
I bet (having to learn different things in running those apps and such), but at least he'd have a way to correct his mistakes if he could.Learning how to use a tablet would probably be too stressful for him.
Collectively, the board only gave Chris money on one occasion -when he was in truly dire straits. This was not without some dissenters. This thread is probably perfect for me asking this:
Have they ever played with the thought (they probably have, so please don't shoot me) if everybody where to chip in for a sex change and if Chris would take that opportunity?
If so, kindly maybe point me in the direction of that thread.
Thank you in advance.

Chris's gender confusion is not so dire anyone would consider sending him money.
The Magic Man may never be identified. Was the random guy in one of his videos ever identified?
I like to think of him as the 'Al' to Chris' 'Sam', he only exists as a hologram, trying to help Chris strive to put right what once went wrong and hoping each time that his next leap... will be the leap homeThe Magic Man may never be identified.
