The issue with that is that they're all tremendous larpers. Tranchers are the guy at the party who tears up in impotent rage as he tells you how much he's totally going to knock you out after you talk shit. Everything they do is performative and it makes it hard for me to judge what would happen if the Earl was coming from inside the house. I think the violence would come from one of the serfs or lesser characters rather than say Phil or Paul.

The major players all seem established enough that they could move on to a new grift relatively easily. They have something to lose. Shooting someone has immediate and life altering consequences. Moving across the country to live in a tent and do manual labor means that you gotta be close to the end of your rope and you don't have too many places to turn if some BPD whore comes in a ruins everything.
