Have the species-locked missions been toned down or removed? On the older version of XPiratez I sunk some time into I kept getting missions that required either non-uber humans (peasants/damsels) or shortstacks (Lok'narr/Gnomes). While the cave missions with the midgets didn't really reward much other than shiny things and more damsels, the human missions actually had some pretty good rewards and was a good use of the power armor that I'd somehow stumbled across.

As far as I'm aware they're still in the game, i just have researched them yet because, fuck it.

Jokes aside though, grey is really fun and would be a nice option to see. The only real bummer about it is that the materials for its ultimate armor(which I found to be extremely good, gonna have to disagree with L50LasPak on that) are an absolute bitch to farm.

Most of my info on the various weaknesses of the Codices is just based on what I could dig up through a cursory forum reading, so input like this is important if anyone's got it.

Hard to say, their taste in anime has been leaning pretty normie-ish so far. Could be there's one of 'em scuttling around putting in the femboys.

Nah, don't worry about it, you're not gonna fuck yourself over with any of the codices. Codex equipment is really meant to add more fun options to battle rather than define your playstyle.

As for the menace-class ships, their strengths and weaknesses don't really matter much since they'll quickly be made obsolete by more specialized craft(though I did use Fortuna all the way till the final mission cause I was too lazy to get a bigger transporter and didn't have too many troops anyway). STC could make menaces worth using over dedicated interceptors, but I'd rather repeatedly stab myself in the dick than farm materials for it.
