Earlier I saw some discussion of the shifting attitudes towards cats regarding the environment
Cats may "rule" the internet, but in the real world, to an alarming number of people, cats are "second-class" pets, if that. There's somewhat of a double standard against cats in contrast with dogs, specifically.
Cats are supposed to be kept inside, never to feel the warmth of sunlight or soft grass because they kill small animals and "can wipe out ecosystems." Meanwhile everyone pretends that dogs don't do the exact same thing + more. The dog is one of the "top killers" of pets (including other dogs) and they are a top killer of livestock. Bigger dogs also have the added risk of being able to kill humans. They can also cause worse damage to property. Despite this, dogs apparently have every right to be outside but cats should be locked inside. Oh a dog killed a cat that was minding its own business on porch? Cat shouldn't have been outside! "Cats are just chew toys," "cats are vermin," "I love shooting cats," etc. Oh and cats will also eat you when you die dogs do this too.
My family's had chickens for years, and cats. I get questioned and teased about cats killing chickens, which is funny because our cats have never once bothered our chickens. Nor have the (admittedly few) neighbor cats and stray cats. However we've had entire flocks of both adults and chicks get wiped out by dogs allowed to roam freely multiple times. Money lost, eggs lost, pets lost. Pets that we bred and raised. They also rarely kill wild birds and mice. I wouldn't be shocked if cats (not the neurotic pit bulls flooding shelters) are the first to be rounded up and euthanized en masse because muh climate change.
Sorry for the rant but I don't get to talk about this a lot. Before anyone says anything, I do like dogs, I just prefer cats and get understandably incensed at the double standards.
I think it's out of convenience. Nobody would want their dog to poop in the house, and I don't think they can go to a litter box. Cat are just superior creatures that don't have to go out to poop, because they know how to use their or sometimes human bathrooms
One thing that's struck me about all of this is how ready the police are to take sides in this matter.
No questions. They know where their next pay check is coming from. Some people call those in the police and those in the army 'mercenaries' because they just fight for whoever gives them the king's shilling. This viewpoint is quickly shut down and vociferously opposed on sites like ARRSE where the common man can still converse with the warrior caste. And maybe for good reason.
But yet, here we are. The pigs taking the king's shilling to beat down the people. It might have been noble once to join the police, the army even. But that day is fading fast. Now you know you will just be a pawn in the greater game to strike down your neighbour, your brother, your sister, your kith and kin. And all for what? A tidy paycheck with a promise of an even tidier pension if you make it out alive to enjoy it in your Fifties. Good luck with that, the way things are going.
I can understand the game of the elites. It's chess for them. 4D chess for some, simple Chess for others, but Chess none the less. But for these pigs, it's just a paycheck. Is there nothing they will they not do? Would they beat up little old grannies in their retirement homes if their source of income was threatened?
I've been called a 'bootlicker'. And much worse. I've always supported the police to do a very difficult job because I know there are bad men out there that would do us harm if given free reign. I still believe in the concept of that. But I'm stretching here now with these pigs. I'd love for these pigs to be given a lesson in 'might is right'. Das rite! But enough minecraft for now.
I guess the lesson of the story is don't trust the police, don't believe they will be anything other than a force of oppression against you. And they will do it on a whim, unquestioningly. I can understand that kind of discipline needing to stand in the army and for infantry. But a police force is as much a social force as anything else. We are not armed. We do not have ferocity of intent to cause harm. We are your brothers and sisters.
If they are this keen now, I wouldn't like to see what they would be like when the hammer really comes down, when some people burn down their police stations, and even worse, god forbid, find out where they live and burn down their homes, with their family still inside, burned alive. That would give them a real axe to grind.
And yet, the harder they pusch...
The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
This is for all you niggers out there -
Well, the oppressors are trying to keep me down
Trying to drive me underground
And they think that they have got the battle won
I say forgive them Lord, they know not what they've done
...
And then the harder they come
The harder they fall, one and all
Ooh, the harder they come
Harder they fall, one and all

Living in the suburbs, the attitude is the exact opposite. Dogs must be leashed or fenced in on your own property. Cats, however, are free to roam. I don't have a problem with that except for the fact I have 2 male cats who fight in my front yard all the time. And boy are those little things loud. Turning on the sprinklers seems to do the trick and they haven't been back in a while -- so I hope I've solved it. My front bushes are prime hunting ground, I think, because I have quite a few birds that nest there and some chipmunks that live somewhere around there. That seems to be why they are fighting -- for access to their favorite hunting spot.
I have dogs (4 of them at the moment) and I adore them, but I absolutely think they need to be kept on their own property. For their safety as well as the safety of others.
Back to covid -- If the economy really is faltering, why would they want to tank the Christmas season by ramping up the covid fear porn? I guess they could be trying to drive us to only shop online (killing off even more small, local businesses), but I feel like they would gladly sacrifice 1 million grandmas if they could improve economic numbers and get a few more shekels from their investments.
I guess that's why I've been wearing my tinfoil hat so tight these days. Since when has the elite ever really cared about saving the lives of ordinary people? I could see if they were afraid for their own lives, but we know they aren't because they still have large get-togethers maskless all the time. So, it isn't about saving their boomer asses.
The only thing I can think of that makes any kind of sense is a "Great Reset" scenario. Burn everything down to the ground so you can resurrect some dystopian phoenix from the ashes of civilization.
Cats aren't supposed to be kept inside, they're predatory carnivores so prowling and hunting is part of their nature. A cat that's kept indoors from kittenhood will tend to be scared of outdoors, but they also tend to get very fat (the 'chonkers' Redditfags love to post are just depressed imprisoned animals).
They do kill birds and rodents, but all of the animal kingdom is a fight to the death anyway. Like with the gayops around Chinkflu, there's an innate urge in all self-respecting sentient lifeforms to live with a generous degree of freedom in accordance with their nature, and once that spark of independence and spontaneity is snuffed out they become pitiable creatures, something less than what they could've been.
Interesting thread on Omicron. Some scientists are hypothesizing that Omicron may be a result of serial passage due to the suspicious mutations in the variant. Possibly a(nother) lab leak. Any medfags willing to weigh in?

edit: I'm seeing some say that Omicron could have been a mutation that occurred within an immunocompromised COVID patient. But people suggested that about previous variants, and no one looked at those and said "hey this is really weird and doesn't typically occur naturally". The reaction to Omicron is definitely different this time.

If it's another lab leak I propose that we, as a species, impose a mandatory death sentence for anyone caught working on any sort of virology related research.

I hadn't actually fully considered other issues related to pericarditis and myocarditis, do you have anything you can link that shows the likelihood of complications like that later? Searching it gives little to nothing but astroterfed results.
Imagine a rubber bulb pump. Squeezes fine right? It produces air. Now replace a slice of the pump with metal. Doesn't squeeze as well. It 's harder to produce less air. Now replace another slice of the pump. And another. One day, the pump can't pump anymore.
Always remember, the police aren't your friends. They (mostly) aren't your enemies out to hurt you either, but they definitely aren't your friends. This is a lesson that the Blue Lives Matter crowd doesn't want to learn, but I'm glad 2020 has taught at least some of them that even if your dumb as bricks boomer conservative sort will take years and years of hard lessons before finally learning it.
As for how the police, they're definitely mercenaries but not all police departments are the same in that regard. Observe all the county sheriffs who don't give a fuck about enforcing this virus nonsense or are protecting local Second Amendment rights. Yeah, the sheriff may be corrupt and always has some asshole power-tripping deputies (like this one 5'7 douchebag cop everyone at my high school knew who ran speed traps on Sunday morning) but he has a connection to the community.
This is why the government/globalists wants national police departments like in Europe or Canada since it takes away power from local governments. Probably this will be their "solution" to police reform. Everyone knows state troopers are usually worse than local police, now imagine if they had even less connection to you.
In all seriousness, why in the fuck are people afraid of this new variant when it's significantly less harmful then previous variants? Are people really that dumb?
It's not about fear, it's about justifying their actions. It's always been mostly harmless (outside of comorbidities, like every other cold and flu). But they took horrific and stupid actions at the objection to people they dismissed as stupid, only it turns out they were right all along.
Omicron has to be the most dangerous thing ever to justify what they did already, yet alone what the more authoritarian members of their death cult want to do going forward.
What I want to know, is where is this supposed pandemic? It's been nearly two years now, and only 12 people have died with this thing in my town. They were all elderly people in their 80-90's who already had serious age related health issues. The state CDC has been banging the drum of covid cases supposedly "over-stressing" our hospitals. It's never fucking happened, or even come close to happening.
Nobody wears a mask around here and none of the people I know have taken the shot. Schools are open, businesses are open, and people aren't dying in the streets. Sure, covid is real, but so are many other far more serious diseases that we've lived with.
My friends, family, and community simply decided that life has to go on and if by chance you get covid, you just fucking deal with it.
It's calculated such that they take the raw observations, put them in a giant regression (is-infected vs got-vax + all the variables listed below the table). This assigs a coefficient to each variable and the coeffiecients for vaxing are reported as adjusted effectiveness. (simplified)
Experts: These unhealthy looking people obviously died of Covid!
Later...
Experts: These unhealthy looking people obviously died from their bad life choices, not the vaccine, SHUT UP!
I dont know, this narrative is the one that particularly pisses me off. Yeah, sure, their lifestyle and other health conditions dont matter with Covid but it sure as fuck does with the vaccine.
Well he has that 20% chance of terminal cardiomyopathy to look forward to, won't show up in 3-5 years and everyone will have forgotten all about the coof jabs by then and, as he's finding out, you have no recourse to sue the vaccine makers or the government in the United States for being damaged by a vaccine.
At a minimum he should have demanded that his employer impose the vaccine requirement as a condition of employment on pain of termination and in writing. Also he should have demanded that they accept all liability for any adverse occurrence, which they'll of course refuse but you had best make the demand. I bet none of that happened. Instead a 'request' for vaccination status. A general announcement that the company will require proof of vaccination by a certain date with unknown specific repercussions (although everyone knows) written in language that provides plausible deniability of coercion.
Sucks to be a mudblood when shit goes south but again care factor is pretty fucking non-existent.
A vaccine so secure, so safe that you are NOT allowed to sue the the mega corporation that made it and the government/company that forced you to take it.
"Hey, it was your choice! Nobody forced you to take it!"
You know the one creature that has no choice in getting injected with something and they cant persuit compensation if shit goes wrong? They are called lab rats.
Last year, we had a nighttime curfew in Germany. You were only allowed to leave the house for a limited number of reasons, for example to go to work. So the police was allowed to stop anyone who was out at night and ask where he's going. Everyone was a criminal until proven otherwise - that's some scary shit.
I guess people just ignore the horrifying similarities to certain dark times in human history, in FREAKING GERMANY of all places! You would think they would be the first ones to say "this seems a tad Gestapo-ish, doesnt it?"
Then again, most cops are bullies just begging for the government to let them out of their leash so...
I dunno why this thread is suddenly devolving into anecdotal coofers association almost 2 years in (pretty well past the point of anecdotes being useful to establish an empirical baseline), but I just wanna say that any case blaming "fatigue" or other generalized, inherently subjective ills might as well be discarded immediately.
"I'm tired" without any medical indicators or additional physiological symptoms (fever, swelling, cough, liquid shits) doesn't even qualify for the "he said" part of "he said she said". It's virtually meaningless and probably just indicates that the person is (spiritually) fat. You can't even measure "tired". Did these individuals take a grip strength test? You need an entire background on the person to even get an idea of whether the behavior change itself is significant, and even then you dunno if it's psychosomatic.
Sometimes I'm tired and fall asleep on the couch. Other times I feel burnt out and sit around all day instead of doing anything. It causes me to procrastinate at times. Does it signify anything? No, I'm just being lazy. If the FEMA trucks rolled up you bet your ass I'd high jump off the couch and do wind sprints to the nearest isolated mountain range.
Indeed, there are a lot of reasons for lack of energy...yes, maybe Covid is PART of the reason but it may be spark that triggered a pile of unhealthy dynamite. People need to understand our bodies are complex machines and sometimes there might be more than a simple cause to something wrong. Sometimes it may be diet (like with the deathfat) or something else altogether. When that happens, usually its required some changes in diet and lifestyle to restore some of that energy back to normal. So saying Covid WAS the cause is a bit desingenious.
They're not overwhelmed, if they were they wouldn't have been laying off nurses and doctors during the peak of the pandemic back in 2020. They wouldn't have time to choreograph dances for their faggy TikTok videos. If they were crying, it's because they're weak little faggots who thought that working in a hospital would be like the show Scrubs.
You have got to be one of the dumbest people to have ever posted in this thread.
