General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Iroha is pretty cute. If Chloe hadn't been in this gen6 too, I think I would have watched Iroha (and/or La+) instead, but there's only so much time in the day and they keep adding more vtubers, can't watch them all.

La+ is going to do hers tomorrow (5am eastern time I think) as well. I'm guessing the other gen6 members will be getting theirs shortly if not announced already? (Don't follow them as closely so haven't seen.) I'm expecting crazy amount of SC for Chloe and her and probably the others too. Be interesting to numberfag a bit and compare to Council's since theirs is most recent and JP vs EN. Does someone still have the rundown of how much SC that Council made during their initial monetization streams? If I remember correctly, Kronii was highest with around $50k?
Just something I noticed during the Gen 6 collab. I looked at the live viewership numbers for each (I usually do so to see where the LiveTL is best). I was surprised to see that La+ had the highest at around 29,000 consistently with Chloe in second at around 26,000. Now I know this all means diddly squat and I don’t really care generally; but La+ had the more consistent LiveTL for the times I checked.

Like I said, I don’t generally care, but I wanted to throw an observation that cuts against the grain a bit regarding Das UberOrca.

Edit: Also, this jump could have been because just before she had that pre-recorded radio short. During that, La+ spoke some English (rehearsed more than likely), that sounded pretty could. She used some word choices and filler though that you might not get from a machine translation though; could have been genuine knowledge. Either way, a good portion could have jumped in that chat to ‘hear more.’

Chloe have said that she is abke to monetize her channel tomorrow, but she's going to postpone it until Friday. That takes like what? 10-12 days for HoloX monetization? Either way, let's see how much money the Orca will get from that stream
Smarter to delay it until the weekend, more people home to throw money at the cute orca (I'm pretty sure she knows what she's doing from her behavior so far). I imagine it will be crazy.

to all y'all who replied to me about Abigail, I was being a tad hyperbolic when I said you guys only like Autistic and/or racist vtubers, I'm glad you appreciate her, In fact I usually quote this board as being the acception all the KF hate and stereotyping, the only part I don't vibe with here is some peoples comments, I won't say which lest I'm called a faggot.

The girl had been doing fine streaming with static PNG > gif > Live2D for almost a decade because her personality is that interesting that keeps people in. Plus, as Asian, she probably prefers lighter skin tone vs dark skin tone heck her current avatar for Twitter literally has a lighter skin tone. She probably surprised to see her character has darker skin tone vs the MV they make for her song.
Imagine there's will be "diversity" meltdown if Sana used a filter to look lighter skin as well.
I can see the Vice headline now: "Asian vtubers forced to white filter model due to colorism and white supremacy"

I'm pretty sure she knows what she's doing from her behavior so far
Watching her I sometimes wonder if she was one of the, for lack of a better word, 'mean girls' in school. Not that she has done anything wrong or that being not socially retarded in school is bad, but just how damn good she is at this. She isn't the break out for nothing.

It feels much more intentional than a lot of the other girls. And hey, if you got a job do it and do it well

lest I'm called a faggot.
faggot

I'm also so hyped for Selen playing Rogue Legacy.

Absolutely fantastic job from Calli. Those vocal lessons really are paying off. Favorite songs were On My Own, I Dreamed A Dream, Dancing Queen, Mama Mia, and Defying Gravity.

Since Calli mentioned something about a possible part 2. I really wish (though it's unlikely) that she'd sing Hell At Your Doorstep from Count of Monte Cristo. There's an animatic series of that musical and it's just so good.
I was late and missed "master of the house" my fave les mis song and sadly have yet to find a clip
But yeah got there in the middle of "on my own" and stuck around til the end great stuff
Special mention to "On My Own" and "I Dreamed a Dream"

Also an animatic of count you say? I feel my inkpotts senses tingling
That Callie musical stream was amazing. The song she went full brit deserves a 10/10 chess kiss.
Sounds like "Master of the House"

Okay, I didn't know about this until now, so here goes:
Gwelu is gunning for 1 mil subs, and has been doing a challenge stream for a while (either he gets 1 mil or his PC dies first. He has been streaming nonstop for while now)

Now one of his projects to reach this goal is by playing games with fans, so Gwelu and Tamaki wanted to play a Mafia/Werewolf game with their fans.

Unfortunately, the game requires voice chat and Niji rules state they can't play with non-livers/Vtubers/Youtubers with VC on (to protect them from potential yabs)
Gwelu and Tamaki attempt to circumvent this by having a 24 hour delay on the release of the VOD to give management a chance to check. This was approved
Now, in these types of games, names are randomized and you're not supposed to know the identity of the players (one player is supposed to be the killer and another is supposed to be a police officer, and others are random bystanders, etc. Part of the fun is not knowing who is who)

During the course of the game, one player managed to recognize Tamaki's voice, and fanboy'd about being able to play with his oshi. Niji caught wind of this an privated the whole video.

Gwelu and Tamaki got pissed because they thought it was a stupid rule. So they cooked up a brilliant idea - they released a video trying to convince the people who played with them to become Vtubers so that they can get their VOD back, citing how Kuzuha was able to play with 2 fans (who where small time Vtubers) with VC on.

Kuzuha fans saw this as Gwelu and Tamaki basically trying to say that Niji management has double standards and that Gwelu asserted that they are willing to bend the rules for Kuzuha but not for others. Shitstorm happened, and this new video also got privated and Gwelu has since stated that his project of playing with fans is now cancelled

A downside of having a billion vtubers in one company, the fanbase becomes a bunch of cliques that fight eachother. Like a bunch of smaller companies inside Nijisanji.

Looks like Millie's cleaning up her trail a bit. Someone on vt posted a link to Fiverr music guy who had a sample that was her PL's original intro song. Didn't catch it for archiving, but there was a review attached that had her utaite name on it and a clear face I never figured was real. Not long after, that and another service I knew she had a review on had the reviews deleted.

Meaning yep somebody's watching the boards looking for any possible dox to remove it.

Should have saved it. Hopefully it'll pop up again somewhere.

This could be a very strange episode, Cali is beyond sleepy, to the point I think she might fall asleep on stream and I'm sure they all forgotten everything as well. Hilarity is probably ensured this time round.

Fan-made game "Grim Leaper"? Did someone make a Jump King clone with a Calli sprite?
I guess we're due for some more podcasts.

Superchat: I'm sorry I haven't had time to watch your streams.
Mumei (with autotune): What? You can do whatever you want with your time. You don't have to give me money. That's not how this works.
This is the kind of attitude I like to see from them. Granted it's "easy to say" when you're at the top and people will give you money either way, but most of the ones I watch show that attitude through their actions as well, especially Ame.

Watching her I sometimes wonder if she was one of the, for lack of a better word, 'mean girls' in school. Not that she has done anything wrong or that being not socially retarded in school is bad, but just how damn good she is at this. She isn't the break out for nothing.

In a similar vein, I've been getting a feeling like Chloe's entire personality was designed-by-committee. She hits pretty much every major appeal point for VTuber fans, it's almost too good to be natural.
Paradoxically, she's too appealing and that (very slightly) reduces her appeal for me.

But they're all playing a character to some degree, some more than others. I don't mind if Chloe is, for example, adding stream scuff on purpose to play up the PON angle, or other minor things like that.
Like let's say she only wants to learn English because she knows it'll make her more money. Does it matter? The result is still that she wants to learn English, and that we'll get to watch her cute attempts at communicating with HoloEN and with us, and that's what I'm interested in no matter the reason behind it. (I do believe she's a legit westaboo anyway though, it was just a hypothetical)

So yeah, it feels intentional more than most, for sure. But I agree you can't really fault her for it.

I've seen enough A Way Out now that there's not much point in watching new pairs play it, except near the end when the betrayal is revealed. But it looks like they're already competitive with each other at least part of the time, and Kronii is Leo, so as long as Kronii legitimately doesn't know the spoiler, it should be a real winner when they finish.

I completely forgot this was on today, nearly missed it as well. If I remember rightly wasn't there going to be "cast" changes happening as Cali mentioned sometime in the past, was like a month ago i think
I don't think I finished the last... maybe two Mythbreakers streams. I just kinda got bored with them.
i gave up after the maze arc. how on earth are all of them still alive?
