I got problems with two things using Brave:
1. I linked my BATs to Gemini, then wanted to add a debit card. They took micro amounts from my account in €, but when I need to enter the amount they took as a verification, the amount is asked in $, and it is not possible to change that, so i can only guess by the current exchange rates and i always get it wrong, so i cant get that money at all to my account.
2. Each time i search something in google, i get that captcha screen which i need to solve before i can get to my search results. It's getting pretty annoying. Makes me want to go back to Chrome. At least there weren't such issues.

I've been rotating between the desktop app and browser addon for PIA depending on what I'm doing and I haven't had an issue getting ads. Maybe it's the server you're using? I understand that ping is an issue, but I've primarily used East Coast/Atlanta with zero problems related to Brave.

Pretty sure you can run a miner on any random pool and point it to the address in footer.

I can only imagine the exhausting process of designing and getting made a bunch of kiwi or drooling dog plushies.

That's the case as I sensed it tbh. Brave mobile has been like this for at least 2 years. It's been very frustrating, I had 75 BAT on my old phone I could never transfer. I don't really care about bringing it up since the devs claim it's not running properly on mobile and haven't been for ages, which when I first got the browser BAT was at least showing verification, but not allowing transfers.

Mobile browsing was complete dogshite til I found the Supporting the Forum thread a couple of years ago. Thought I'd give Brave a go cos, eh, why not if it'll help support the forum, but it turned out to be a really good browser. Really recommend it, esp for mobile. Interesting to know about the Mozilla dude being involved... now that I think about it, the jump from Chrome on mobile to Brave is reminiscent for me of the jump from IE to Firefox.
Make sure you set your ads to 10/hr, and if you're getting fewer ads after a while of using it, try switching your VPN to a different country.

Get XMRig, choose the pool you like, then generate the config with pool you chose and XMR address in footer.

Concur that Brave Rewards is a janky piece of shit. I also cannot get it to work with a VPN; I have now so horribly offended its sensibilities that it won't stump up any BAT without one either. Donated what I had from before it got its panties in a wad about not being able to figure out my location (I find this somewhat hypocritical from the browser that shouts about privacy but whatev's).

Also I have switched to Brave and am liking it so far, but how exactly do ads appear? Do I need to click on them to generate BAT?

I'm currently using the most minimal browser I can find, chrome was eating up way too much battery life. What's the battery usage on brave?
