Maybe this is biased because she is my oshi but Mori is really good at with chat interacting.
She also calls chat "deadbeats" unlike the other four(i think).
They all refer to chat as both "chat" and their fan name's (chumbies, teammates, etc). It's not exclusive to Mori.
Going back to the chat interaction, unless you're an oil baron like Brom or some other known whales, it's impossible to interact with Gura. I try to watch her whenever she's live but I decided to stay off the chat because why bother.
Yeah i can understand that. At least with Mori, her chat is slow enough where you can actually have a real interaction with her.
I always get weird feeling whenever she reads my comment and answers to it especially if it happens multiple times on stream. I am not even paypig.
Maybe it is just me, but as mostly a holoEN watcher, I'm usually one of thousands of people in chat. I don't expect to be personally validated or talked to, so I don't really care if the streamer directly interacts with their chat or not, And definitely don't care if they have a pet name for chat that they use. I'm not trying to have a relationship with them (parasocial or otherwise), so just let me enjoy their personality, singing, talking, and gaming.
That might be different for those of you who watch small indie vtubers where there are a couple hundred or less, but I don't care about that aspect.
I can't believe my anime vtuber looks like a regular Asian woman!
But serious question, is hair dye common in Japan? A noticeable percentage of Hololive members dye their hair irl, some even fitting their character (photos of Moona's purple hair and Luna's pink hair come to mind).
She looks pretty cute. I'm surprised she posted something after her debut, but maybe she has that kusogaki personality irl too and doesn't give an f.
As for hair dye, most in Asia are black or at least dark haired, so it is kind of a way to be different and stand out I think. Also, most vtubers are probably weebs so they are exposed and used to lots of weird hair colors from watching anime I'm sure. Go to an anime con and I swear half the girls have their hair dyed in some crazy color (purple, pink, blue, etc).
Is it okay to talk here about the real life personalities of the vtubers or is it forbidden?
While this place has become more and more of a hugbox, we're fine talking about anything related to vtubers, even the real person behind, as long as you don't sperg too much about it.
Null you probably still don't fully understand why this thread is so active and one of the reasons is that it's the only popular place on the internet where you can talk about the real person behind the avatars and don't get shit on or banned for it.
I'd say it is encouraged within boundaries. Most are here to talk about vtubers in a way that is discouraged on hugboxes like reddit and twitter. Being able to discuss the irl people behind them gives a much better context, imo. Of course no actual doxxing or stupidness that is going to personally affect the person, we are here to enjoy them, not make their life suck.
I wondered why Null posted here all of a sudden, because your a new account and your first post was here. Good ol Null always watching.
Yeah as other have already said it fine, all I ask is please scroll back through this thread history. Yeah it fucking long but that was the search button is for. Look what you wanna look for, tickle your knowledge and feel free to join in the daily shit.
I found this site while searching for bg info on vtubers and have never heard of the site before and actually have never been to another thread here lol. Didn't even realize this was a "bad" place to be until I decided to stop lurking and post and got all the warnings about using anon email and such when trying to register. Still don't really care about the rest of the forums here, but I like being able to talk freely about vtubers and people behind them without being a shitshow like 4chan or a hugbox like reddit (where you can't discuss the roommates at all other than very vague references).
Haachama new rap song with a "Red-kun" voice. She's really into rap now. Idk what more scaries for me old mad videos or new rap songs.
Calli better be proud of this firespitting girl
I used to watch Haachama all the time, so kind of sad about this. Ever since she did the bad word english stream with Calli she's constantly throwing in random FAQs and other english swearing. Never been a fan of the edgy swearing constantly vtubers like Coco, Kiara, Calli, etc, so pretty much turning me off of her. Also rap is crap and the whole rap battle stuff she has been doing is not my cup of tea either.
