I dont think Russia cares about F-35's or F-22's

They know how to detect them for awhile now.

F-35 is a cute plane but it entirely relies on stealth for survival, otherwise its slow, cumbersome and maintenance heavy and doesn't stand a chance if you know where its headed.

Or where it has to land. Our fearless leaders have spent a bazillion dollars making stealth fighter jets and bombers that can evade detection. In flight. Meanwhile our adversaries have spent a few million stocking up on long range rockets to destroy the F-35s airfields, and a few tens of millions to seize air supremacy with cheap ass fighters once our airfleet is destroyed on the ground.

The idiots in charge of America's defense planning are brain dead. I know this for a fact. I can't explain in more detail without a huge powerlevel but I will say straight out they have no answer to the threat posed by Russia and China's strategic rocket force. None. Iron Dome was an attempt at this, but it's stop gap because the idiots in charge spent so much money building airplanes to fight in the air they spent nothing to protect them on the ground.

Which means within the first week of a war in Europe or Asia, China or Russia has the capability of annihilating all those fancy fighter jets. On the ground. And then seizing regional air superiority with their swarm of cheap and easily replaced fighters.

If the US wants to fight a war in Eastern Europe or the Western Pacific it must be prepared to do so with zero air support and be willing to spend tens of thousands of dead Americans in exchange for victory.

Alright lads if things really get hot I wouldn't be shocked about about a weird amount of Ukranians holding American made recoiless rifles or something. But hypothetically, how insane would Russia and the global community at large would go if say, tomorrow, we announce a deal where Ukraine can buy a few F35's with a nice discount? (edit to say I absolutely know that would be stupid from an american strategic perspective if one were to be captured or something)

Recoilless rifles haven't been relevant since the 1970s and would be utterly ineffective against the Russian tanks currently in service

iron dome works well against dogshit low quality improvised short range rockets that hamas lobs over the border fence from time to time. i doubt it would fare well against a well prepared and coordinated strike of serious mid or long range missiles employed by a competent military force.

Russia is huge on infrared sensors and it can spot them easily from 50 miles by the heat of the exhaust.

Unless I've been reading too much LockMart/NorthGrum promotional materials, the main appeal of AESA is frequency agility, LPI functionality, and reliability due to electronic beam steering removing the need to spin the array around, but not counter stealth.

There's also the fact that IR and EO have inferior range to radar. And don't they fly those things with bolted on RCS increasers? Forgot what they're called. Basically letting people know they are there.

But now that wrote that, I realized those are a lot of talking points and buzzwords I just spat out, and it sounds eerily similar to vaxxprop brought to you by Big Pharma.
