Is this game gonna suck?

I don't care if the game is shit as long as they give me another Shawn Lee soundtrack. Then I'll at least by able to listen to it while pretending the sequel never happened.
Oh, yes. I almost forgot. Bully's OST was stellar. There's a track for every situation in game. Behaviors, time of day, cliques, even CLASSES have their own theme.

The "misbehaving" themes were my personal favorites. Although I've only heard it during the mascot mission.

Just imagine, you get home with your copy of Bully 2. You excitedly unwrap the shrink wrap and are disappointed that it's modern day and instruction manuals no longer exist. Oh well, you say, as you put it into your console. You excitedly wait as the game installs, reflecting back on the past 16 years between Bully games. It finally installs, and you're greeted to a game based entirely around getting likes on Lifeinvader, a cast of dangerhaired LGBTQ minority warriors that puts Saints Row reboot to shame, and every NPC is constantly saying garbage zoomer language. Everything seems to be "sus", all of the statements are "no cap", and all of the best things in the game are apparently "bussin". Whenever you complete an objective, your character does a dab and record yourself doing some tik tok dance from 3 years ago.

You throw your monkeys paw into the trash, once again being fooled by it's promises of wish fulfillment. Later on you read online about how Bully Online has broke new records, and you hear a younger relative complain about how he needs to buy some Lifeinvader Likes to buy the newest dance emote.

Bully for PC & Xbox 360 are ported with Gamebryo, not Renderware.
That's why the technical issues at launch (at least modders patched the PC version well).
@The Last Stand Shawn Lee was truly a underrated composer. It's like Tim Follin.

GAMES? With an S? There was only ONE Bully game. You're counting the Anniversary and Scholarship Edition. Those were ports with additional content.

Bully 2 apparently went through two developments before being shelved.

Hearing the pixie like sound effects with the guitar reminded me of Peter Pan in a way. I don’t know why, but it’s calming when you have Jimmy just walking in the snow.
Are you talking about the Stealth track?

If you remember hearing it for the first time...

Well the new Jack Thompson is twitter + journalists complaining about violence and gamers being bad so nothing changed that much

I have no hope for modern rockstar, but if they can make it at least playable it would be ok. The story is gonna be mediocre because of the political climate, so no risks and spicy commentary (only boring cliches and safe jokes uwu).
My only hope is that the music would be good.
From what I know, the OG bully was closer to Life is Strange than GTA with same sex smoochin, #believewomen, and eat the rich plot elements. They complained before because all they knew was the title. I don't think a single article about how killing sufferagettes affected the sales of RDR2 the same way being able to hire hookers didn't sell any more copies of GTA3.

Seeing this Bully thread made me have flashbacks over having to stress so hard doing this kind of mission:

In retrospect, it’d be funny if they have to reverse the genders and make them all girls.

Admittedly, I have to still finish the game since I believe I was halfway through. Though, that’s a pretty interesting track.

I wish I had a Shawn Lee soundtrack in my daily life. His music brought Bullworth to LIFE.

None of that was in the game. Jimmy kissing a boy was more of an easter egg than a political statement. Jimmy never went after the Preppies to "eat the rich," they were obnoxious, classist snobs with a Napoleon complex. Trust fund kids with possible insect.

In this scenario the games would be Bully 1 and Bully 2...hence 16 years between releases.

Assuming this title will be released, that will be Bully 2. Or the second Bully game. Whatever they call it.

Yeah, it's a hypothetical on what a Bully 2 would be. What the fuck do you think I'm talking about in that post?

I've never heard that before.

I've seen it pop up on a bunch of Youtube shorts about food lately. Apparently if something is good it's "bussin"

You said scenario, I've read it as you mistaking Anniversary and SE as separate Bully titles.

A Bully with cartoonish graphics would've been interesting. I remember seeing pre-release screenshots of characters looking exaggerated.

I'd say if you want to play Bully 2 you should probably play Wasted Youth but due to it's old flash sponsor servers dying it's totally fucked and you can't play it anymore :(

Anyway, if there ever was a Bully 2 I think it would be cool if you played as some bizarre school shooter loner type who makes funny quips like the Postal dude or that one dude from Blood.
Bully was in a deliberately vague time period but I'd overtly set the sequel in the early-mid 2000's and try to channel Napoleon Dynamite, Donnie Darko (Which are ironically both works trying to channel the 80's but small isolated towns have weird temporal effects) and a bunch of strange games of that period set in contemporary locations like Blue Stinger, ILLBLEED, Obscure1+2 or Dead Rising.
Maybe some more urban locations could channel Mega Man: Battle Network, Drill Dozer and Persona 3?

...but let's face it. Bully 2 is gonna stink to high heaven if it ever gets released.

I remember when people thought you'd be playing a young James Earl Cash when this image first released.

Fuck. Manhunt is truly a dead franchise at this point.
Yeah, I don't think Manhunt is coming back.

Even better, you watch a YouTube video of gameplay and see for yourself without spending a cent.

They'll never go into being "serious" because doing goofy Fortnite shit has made them more money in GTA Online than literally anything in history.
im mainly referring to the games story wise , with RDR 2's near constant downer of a story and with gta 4 mere existence , rockstar wants to make serious stories

I recall eons back that if they ever were going to make a Bully 2, it'd be about office drama and shenanigans. Don't know if that's the direction they'll take, assuming they're even thinking about it.
