Fat Acceptance Movement / Fat Girlcows

The doctor has to track your weight because a sudden loss in weight without any lifestyle changes is a sign of serious health problems.
Why even go to the doctor in the first place if you're just going to argue with them? My god, I couldn't be a nurse/doctor. The second she pulled that " I don't do weight" shit I would have told her, "Well when you're ready to cooperate give us a call back," and left the room.

Fun fact: You don't need to know your own weight and still get weighed at the doctor.
You can just say to the doc "I'd rather not know my weight" or "Can I get on backwards?" (which usually translates to "I have ED/anxiety/whateverelse") and not come across as a sanctimonious bitch.

Oh dear. Brooklyn has such a bad taste/style
WTF is this supposed to be? Stocking on her lame top
1.JPG

She clearly does not look into the mirror when leaving the house
2.JPG

She really wanna show the haydurs that she can pull off the skinny girl`s style
3.JPG

Of corse she fails miserably

She is not extremely fat. So I dont understand why she is so desperate for this type of attention.
She still could look sexy and hot.. but yeah... that would requemend dressing for your body type

Why tf is she using pantyhose and scarves as tops
It's fashion, you just don't get it and even if you did you'd think it was fine on a thin person.

bekah looks fatter with clothes on, no wonder she's always in her underwear

She looks like one of the peasant NPC's in Skyrim where they just stand around dressed in rags while you loot their mud hut.

I'm legitimately confused as to why this woman wants to highlight her above-waist fat roll. What the fuck is that, even, like extra padding for her rib cage?

Lol it's bad either way. Paintbrush handles would be honestly better since they're made out of sturdier wood than what I'm assuming is those cheap disposable bamboo chopsticks.
Maybe I just don't appreciate the aesthetic, but I'm struggling to understand why anybody would want one of these. What is the appeal of a chopstick painted in the colors of the "asexual" flag and covered with globs of hot glue? At least a painting or something, even a shitty terrible one, can be displayed and admired. Furthermore, what does her being fat have to do with any of this? A skinny bitch could hot glue a chopstick poorly, too.

Apologies for the tangent, I guess.

shit like this makes me cringe specifically because it's useless, tacky and requires no skill. It looks like something a teenage xe/xir would buy on a whim at an anime convention. If you're going to make decorative knickknacks, at least learn a real craft skill and do a good job. Damn

You people just don't get it. You let "SOCIETY" dictate your values. Tacky, useless and hideous are the new "beautiful," along with being enormously fat and offensively dressed.

Get with it.

You guys are missing the point. It's about sourcing. That's why she has "fat" in her username, and why there are shops like this on Etsy who do the same:
Untitled.png

People might have a vague interest in her wands, but the fact that she's fat herself will push it over for certain people. They see it as supporting the group to which the creator belongs. I've been seeing this with a lot of other shops, industries, etc. online in the last 10 years too. Things like "woman-owned" as a marketing focus, rather than the quality of the goods. Fatties are just jumping on that same hype train.
Ha, "jumping".
On a personal level I find the whole thing a bit gross.
It's not just that it reminds me of those bead/bracelet sellers who sell objectively shitty products so it looks like like they're getting a handout/donation, but there's this moralizing element that leaves a bad taste in my mouth as well.
"Buy this thing to prove you support others! Buy thing to prove you're a good person!"
and conversly
"We told you to buy thing, are you not buying thing because you hate [X]-people?"

Deliberate ugliness is also a thing here. On the one hand you've got Tess Holliday's "Eff Your Beauty Standards" (but she still adheres to makeup and fashion as best as her hulking mass and inflammation-riddled brain will allow), but on the other you have stuff like this where the person in question is doing it on purpose to push back at a society that "hates their fat body".

I'm a bit of an SJW myself, but the identity-focused business branding often doesn't sit well with me. Idk. There's a cannabis store near me that has a sign proudly proclaiming it as black female-owned and like, actually, I would rather buy weed from a black female-owned business than from former cops and prosecutors. But to put it front and centre... do you want my business or do you want my charity?

I think buying from small, local businesses is good and important, but at the same time I bristle at the idea of "supporting" a business at all. Sell a product I want at a price that works for me and I'll buy it. "Support" is for charities and non profits.

Also doesn't all this identity branding make it easier for bigots to avoid you? I know, these people probably don't want fatphobic shitlords buying their stupid crap. But come on. If someone likes your hand knitted whatever, that's not a comment on you as a person. It's frustrating how that's getting lost these days with all the ideological purity and virtue signaling, and yet all these fat idiots buy from Amazon and fast good conglomerates anyway.

I used to shop at Athleta, and I still have pants and shirts I bought there years ago that are in good shape, and I am not going to throw them away, but now that I know they actually partner with people like Anna O’Brien, I have stopped shopping there. I’m not into cop-worship, either, but I have decided that I’d rather buy athletic wear from a company that never uses morbidly obese models, but has a number of “thin blue line” designs because I see normalizing obesity as a greater threat to humanity than metaphorically sucking the dick of every veteran you meet.

I am conscious about where I shop and who/what my purchase ends up supporting, and I’ve very deliberately stopped buying clothing from fat-friendly brands because I think it’s morally wrong to normalize obesity. I don’t have a problem with athletic clothing going up to plus sizes, because you need something to sweat in while you’re losing weight, but plus-size models will likely lose their jobs if they lose weight, therefore we can be reasonably sure that a model wearing a 3x will only ever be able to size up, not down, and I don’t want to encourage a giant company like Athleta to keep hiring models who must remain unhealthy to keep their jobs (that said, it never should have been seen as a viable career in the first place, but here we are).

If Anyone is interested, the brand of athletic wear I’m referring to is Born Primitive. Their pants are comfortable and the bras are good for women with big shoulders. I know some sports bras kinda hunch me over and give me back/neck pain, but the BP bras I have are very comfortable.

Yeah, this, that's what I don't like people begging to "Support small businesses" or whatever. If they have a good product or service, then they get my money, simple as that. A reason lot of mom and pop local video game stores totally caused Gamestop to go out of business in a lot of areas is because they were run by people who legit cared about gaming and were passionate about it hence why people preferred to shop at those stores and Gamestop is almost out of business, they simply provided a better service.

Also, could it be that the reason why the business is small is because it simply wasn't good enough to flourish? I feel like people think of all small businesses as these underdogs, but not all of them are, some of them are just bad.

Thought about this thread last week when I found out my co-worker’s brother had finally died from eating himself to death. PL, I don’t care, it’s not my shame but his. The lad wasn’t even 40, was so diabetic Type 2 he couldn’t walk, had gradually made himself blind as a bat, weighed over 21 stone…he gained the weight first, then the diabetes. But he was so addicted to eating that he just sat there eating whole family packs of sweets and choccy biscuits and an enormous amount of fat and sugar all day…then would jab himself with insulin, loads of it, as the fix.

I can’t even look his brother in the eye at work, the man’s so miserable from losing family this way. He knew it was coming, he tried to stop his brother but would get pushed away for his troubles. Man was resigned to eating himself to death before 40, I guess. And yeah, he was the same kind of twat who said, “I’d rather be fat and happy than thin and miserable.”

Not sure what happiness there is to glean from being stuck in a wheelchair in your one little room all day, sight failing, motivation nil, breathing laboured just from sitting still, stuffing more cakes in your mouth, then dying young. It’s sad as fuck.

It must be the type of hell every family member of an addict seems to go through- you literally cannot stop them, and they'll lie to you over and over to get their hands on the substance of choice (is what it seems like from the outside).
Booze, like junk food, is everywhere- but it's more socially stigmatised to be an alcoholic than obese. And there's no rehab for food addiction (BED rehab clinic?)

No wonder your co-worker is miserable. He watched his brother commit suicide slowly and throw his life away.
Obesity, particularly comfort eating, sure seems like untreated depression in a lot of people. If obesity now looks 'normal' to Yanks, maybe being depressed does too.
