Ever since Obama got in office the world’s been changing more and more. Liberal arts and science campuses seem to dominate the world. Were in the past at least you had those (lame) guys making fun of sjw’s, nowadays it’s like that’s not even allowed anymore either. It just goes into overdrive and the international culture is changing so quickly. Will there ever be an end to this? There has to be a bottom that gets reached as we get more and more pc? Will there ever be backlash? There has to be a breaking point

It will grow until the populace supporting and breeding it is forcibly stopped and kept away from doing it or dies out. Narcissistic personalities are unable to shirk away from whatever it is they fixate on and do to attempt validating their sheer egos. Narcissistic societies are just so. They either have to be forcibly kept from it all 24/7/365 or killed.

Edit: and the former always has only limited effectiveness.

It shows some signs of decline already but I'm still of the opinion that its final dissolution will come from a great fragmentation of the next generation. You can't actually raise a person with a worldview based on woke because its too inherently contradictory, has no consistent or clear narratives, constantly confuses itself or other factions that are ostensibly supposed to be on the same side, and just generally does not prepare a person to effectively identify and deal with the many, many enemies they will have espousing such a point of view.

Right now the movement survives based on the participation of an intelligent upper crust of people who are all in on the grift, but don't actually believe or subscribe to it. They have the required clarity and presence of mind to keep it coordinated. But as time goes on they will begin to have less and less reliable minions in their ranks. Woke teaches no skills, has no strengths other than sheer numbers, and in general does nothing to increase the longevity of its footsoldiers. If anything it takes away from them. Eventually the people in charge will be forced to face the fact that they can no longer keep squeezing blood from the stone, and move on to the next grift, leaving the rest of the movement behind like chaff.

Every movement, even one based totally on lies and deception, relies on the inclusion of groups of talented and capable people if it is going to be able to survive. But woke movements no longer have access to any of those talented people. All popular movements discourage or punish talent and capability, and the fertile ground that the first and second generations of elite woke shills spawned from is no more. It has been looted, pillaged and picked clean by its own residents until nothing at all remains other than a blasted wasteland. The woke academies and Universities teach nothing of value anymore, not even anything a wokester can use to advance themselves, its just pointless babble, of no use to anyone. And the next generations of woke are already fast becoming sickly, deformed, starved, empty husks who are barely fit to tie their shoes properly let alone be the backbone of a fearsome cultural shift.

It'll stop. They always do. Ride it out. It'll become as popular as 80's excess is now & we'll all sit back & have a good laugh at what utter fucking stupid cunts everyone was face palming giggling 'oh why did we even care about that?' ya know ... the same thing your mom does when she see's an old photo with huge hair & massive shoulder pads.
The woke parents' kids will grow up & get to the age where they go "yeah nah fuck that shit" and do something completely different. It's an endless cycle that boils down to simply no kid wants to grow up to be like their parents.

Unless Evel Kneival or Richard Petty was your dad ...

I know it’s cliche but Woke-ism fulfills both religious and social impulses, and it’s genuine believers are truly zealous.

You need another religion or quasi religious movement with the same totalizing zeal or a very authoritarian government that is willing to basically machine gun everyone with pronouns in their bios.

It won’t go away, it’s metastasized and is simply too important for too many people and institutions. Not unless another force supplants it or it is violently rooted out and destroyed.

There are already signs that the narrative class is trying to walk back some of the excesses of woke. The latest round of US elections seems to have been a bit of a wake-up call in that respect - people are starting to get on board with the revolutionary notion that you can't win elections while declaring war on the electorate. New York elected a cop, Virginia elected a Republican who "shouldn't have" won, New Jersey nearly did the same, and minorities are getting so disgusted with Democrats that they're staying home from the polls, or actually defecting to the Orange Man Party.
Check the op-eds in the NY Times (my favorite barometer of elite opinion) and you'll see mild dissenters from woke orthodoxy starting to get a platform again. I think what we're headed toward is a period of retrenchment and consolidation of gains for left far-extremism, as the people in power shift their focus back to keeping themselves in power. The public faces of the movement will either tone things down (see the domestication of AOC for example) or find themselves frozen out of the media.

That's not to say that we're going to see a rollback of woke, for the most part. Apart from the most serious blunders like "defund the police", the Current Year will remain current. But I suspect this is the highwater mark of the movement for now, and we're not going to see as aggressive growth in the near term.

That isn’t a defeat of Woke though. It’s just as you say, consolidation.

Shit like Latinx goes too far and starts pushing Hispanics into the Republican camp. So I concur they’ll pull back on some of the more outrageous rhetoric.
