My biggest takeaway from ep 3 is how GUILTY both Greg and Jeanette look. Greg looks exhausted, scared and broken. Jeanette, yeah she’s an abuser but you can also see this dawning, trapped horror in her eyes. Her eyes are like the abyss, man. Poor Jazz, meanwhile, looks almost broken and has totally given up pretending he’s living his best life. #FreeJazz

What's funny is that the girl pretty much stated that sentiment herself. In the episode the chick literally said to Jazz's face that she thought the surgery wasn't advanced enough yet for bottom surgery so her having a gofundme for the surgery (and even being on the show itself) is really suspicious honestly. Makes me wonder what they actually believe and what the show will demonstrate. Also it was super awkward considering Jazz is known for his surgeries going wrong and now knowing that the girl is dating the sister of the genital butcher, it makes you wonder how aware her gf and her gf's sister are of that sentiment and how much they agree with it themselves regardless of their "clinic".

An attention addict wouldn't want to do online school, they would want to be queen bee of their high school. An attention addict wouldn't have a crying meltdown after a drag show (Jazz looked desperately awkward and unhappy on stage), they would ham it up and soak up all that applause and praise (like Sander).

Jumping on this but I totally agreee. Common unhealthy coping mechanisms in fucked up families like this are based on the idea that your parents (and eventually this develops into a belief of the world) will only care when you're actually actively having a breakdown. This usually results in the child holding things in until they explode and/or the kid unable to communicate their struggles in a non-destructive and explosive way because they're used to only being listened to when they're at that point. You don't even need a narc parent for this to happen, just regular neglect does this too. I do think Jazz hates the attention but it's literally all he's ever known, all his coping mechanisms, all his methods of communication for his needs have all been built and developed while he was a stage kid (who likely actually believes in Reality TV) whose needs and desires were selected for him and his real ones ignored. People like this are usually mistaken for attention whores but they aren't and the fact that their coping mechanism directly harms them is just typical for any bad coping mechanism.

I think he's too fat for surgery. Plus there's risks of infections on any of his mutilation sites, and they'd probably have to put in a catheter, which means shoving a plastic tube all up in his neovagina, risking irritation, injury and infection.

Jazz has had so much faith in surgical interventions for mental conditions so far, it would be quite interesting if he became a surgery junkie a la Michael Jackson.

I think they can do the surgery up to 400lbs. I think it would be a great focus for next season.

Nutritionists deal with mentally ill patients and can work with them and their problems, but they aren't psychologists or psychiatrists. It's not up to her to solve Jazz's mental issues, only being aware that they exist and work with what she has. Also, it's a priority for everybody that Jazz's loses weight. If she can work around his issues and help him to lose weight, then it's the best situation for Jazz.

Also, we don't know how much they've talked with her with the cameras off and how much it's been edited. She could have recommended mental therapy for Jazz even if she's into troonery and definitely if she's not and she's aware that the whole transition journey is what has destroyed him. But she can't force him in the same way his family can't force him. He might act like a child, but he's an adult.

Unfortunately, when a person is in a situation where they need different specialists working with you, it's not uncommon that you neglect one of them, even unintentionally. And we know Jazz is intentionally rejecting real psychological help.
