The Elder Scrolls

So like I predicted, Bethesda fucked up the Bittercup. Now it only increases and decreases the three attributes by 20 points each. What a fucking letdown to how god-tier of an artifact it was in Morrowind.

Waiting for the eventual mod that improves it.

Who's looking forward to the next expansion? Slavery kino is just around the corner....

Finally started to document my load order in Skyrim so I don't spend hours or days working on it. Before I used to be pretty unorganized and often forgot to add things. Now I'm making sure to document everything from the order, patches, to any fixes I have to do manually. Should shave a lot of time off of modding.

I was starting to notice a lot of black/brown faces on NPC's after installing some new NPC overhauls so decided to take it slow and work on everything so there's less of an issue.

Merry Christmas everybody, as a gift to you nibba's like me who are going to be alone on Christmas I give to you a city redesign project I and one other have been working on, this is just the pilot of sorts to see what people think/want from a city redesign project. You may find something of note in the wilderness.

I'm getting the itch for Oblivion again. Anyone have a mod pack they'd recommend? I just don't have the patience anymore when stuff like Wabbajavk exists.

> install 3DNPCs
> first npc I encounter has daddy issues and complains about muh racism
> second one is in the sleeping giant inn, talks way too fucking slow
> everyone in the mod pours out their life story the moment I make eye contact with them
> dialogue choices are nothing but snarky and rude remarks
> voice acting is hit or miss as usual
> saw a pic where you can literally tell someone you would like to piss on them
> reddit praises the shit out of this mod

At this point, any mod outside of QoL changes, visual improvement/changes and more gameplay-centric content like Frostfall or Missives is just bound to disappoint.

Don't forget the open father-daughter incest at Candlehearth Hall and the twitter-tier responses to everything. Most of the praise I see this mod gets seems to stem mostly from its "strictly gay" followers (that could actually break the marriage system in some games) and some kind of trans npc. I remember some modder years ago made a mod that altered the scripts in 3DNPCs that kept the gay followers from marrying either sex and it caused a huge stir. No idea if its still up though.

Well, that just tipped me over the edge. What a waste of fucking bandwidth.

I just hate how 90% of follower/NPC mods are either shallow coomer material, tainted by politics and faggotry or just plain bad. You'd think after ten years, the general quality of these types of mods would improve, but nope. The recent section on Nexus is still chock-full of anime tits.

The only decent follower/character mod I tried that's recent is Mirai (despite her obvious jailbait appearance), although I think I like the questline more than Mirai herself. It's got decent voice acting for once though, which is surprising.

If you're willing to port it over yourself, I got good mileage out of this mod in OG Skyrim. It adds background NPCs with tolerable custom voices.

The what? I've just downloaded this alongside Citizens of Tamriel and people were complaining about that one too. The only NPC I've met from that mod so far is a girl in the Bannered Mare who immediately thinks you look down on her for assuming she's a prostitute (that part is railroaded) then she chews you out within two lines.

I haven't modded my game in years, but I never bothered with follower mods for the exact same reason. Closest thing I had to a follower mod was one of those make your own dwemer automata mods or followers who just had basic merc dialogue. Only reason I even installed 3DNPCs was iirc because it added the only decently functional argonian follower at the time, which was annoying to have that mess for just one decent character.

You can find the incest freaks in the Candlehearth Hall. They're an old nord and his half-orc daughter. Not hard to miss because she's the only orc in town.

Yeah that sounds about right.

Interesting. Any standout problems you've had? This plus Populated Cities seem to be a perfect way to make my game less lifeless.

Ok so Microsoft has allowed achievements for the PC Version of Oblivion, my question is what one because supposedly the one up on the Microsoft store has no achievements.

None that I recall. It's been a few years and I don't think I ever ported it over myself. You can find mods for personally ported versions of the mod, so I'm certain it's doable.

The dialogue options of the new NPCs with other NPCs will get repetitive quickly. That said, you're not supposed to talk to them beyond a basic response, so I never had an issue. Also, I do recall some nice interactions within it's limitations, such as a blacksmith's assistant in Whiterun who I later saw giving a gift to her Mara acolyte boyfriend (another new NPC), or a hunting couple who hang out in that hunting themed inn and argue about crap.
