Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

To explain the narrative here to those who aren't as good at piecing it together. here was the intent (and how it went).

Step One: Pass a large Infrastructure package. This would do three core things. First, it would pay off the Democrats debts which are massive, substantial, and crippling. Second, it would bribe key senators and representatives to help smooth over ruffled feathers and shore up support. Third, it would shore up political capital losses do to the election steal and set the board for future legislation. This is to be done as early as possible, preferably around June/July to see short-term benefits kick in by October 2021, and long-term benefits by October 2022. Right before key elections.

This more or less crashed and burned. Afghanistan happened, as well as a number of smaller crises, which just heaped onto the expected cost and removed any and all political capital they had. The big infrastructure package was never realized, eventually, a much smaller, rabidly cut-down variant passed... very late. Which while big to anyone with a sane mind, was basically just a ton of normal pork with a handful of nods to the bigger package that barely amount to anything. None of the objectives were achieved with it, but the hope likely was that some benefit could be gained to at least give some level of public pressure for step 2.


Step Two: Pass the first mainline bill. This originally was meant to be the voting bill, but it was quickly shelved due to entrance hed resistance. Instead, the second mainline bill was put forth. This bill was a massive social spending bill, called Build Back Better. Its ostensible purpose was a total overhaul of the system to make everything 'better', in reality, it represented a massive seizure of power, an attempt to get the entire nation dependent on the government, various ways to entrench electoral power using illegals, and a just laundry list of massive issues. It would be a massive step for a total democrat seize of power, and the reason it was moved to step two was that the passing of it, and the various short-term benefits it provifed the populace, would be a substantial boost to political capital.

It also just -outright- crashed and burned.


Step Three: Where we are now, the originally first mainline bill now the second. A total powergrab by the democrats meant to enshrine their cheating into law to ensure they can never, ever be outvoted. Chance of passing in any meaningful format, basically zero.

Whenever people talk about A.I. taking over politics in the future, I think of people like you who they could never really replace.

I also think on how fucking awful it is that we have what is essentially an A.I. when it comes to the political class as a whole, in that they seemingly can't grasp (usually) the human element of the things they sign into law or otherwise inflict on the populace past arbitrary and typically false numbers. It shocks me that Manchin is the only fuck in the current Democrat party representatives who understands just how fucked things would get - and how quickly - if something like that passed.

Tell your boss that while you may be biased, your shit is one of the few accepted by randos - real people - who can freely express themselves. He's got a real treasure, nigga.

Breakthrough case, making sure to emphasize that it's a mild case and that they would certainly be more imperiled if they didn't receive their vaccinations and booster shot. Maybe I'm overthinking this. JFC, When I taught high school social studies, I'd VOLUNTARILY get a flu shot each year. They didn't call it a vaccine. It's the flu shot. Just lessens the severity or your chance of getting it--not eliminate it.

White House lights up Manchin after he crushes Biden's megabill​

Holy fuck Manchin was really leading Biden along. Apparently this week he gave Biden a draft for a compromise version of BBB he said he would vote for, which Biden approved of, and then Manchin did a 180 and went on Fox saying he actually won't be doing that. Manchin didn't tell the White House he was gonna go onto Fox and kill BBB until 30 minutes prior, which led to the White House panicking and sending him phone calls which he ignored. Not even Bret Baier, the guy he was on air with, knew Manchin was going to say what he said.

What a class act.

The desperation is tangible. Not only does the White House feel genuinely betrayed by Manchin lying to their faces, they're also well aware that they need to get something, ANYTHING done.

I think it really depends on how long it lasts in the body. we aren't married or trying for kids yet, so there isnt an immediate need for it. But I have my concerns.
