Very late, life. Still have a couple of pages to catch up on and am highly amused at her reported delusion about potentially holding down a job at a weed dispensary. Dutch Courage & others have been given excellent takes on the directly job related reasons she would quickly flame out, if she even got through the hiring process.
This old boomer knows bugger all about the intricacies of pot. As a teen I smoked to get high & few cared enough to know much about the product. Times & the product have changed & that's a great thing because the stuff is WAY stronger & there has been a staggering explosion in strengths & varieties available. Currently I buy the stuff for a person with a growing medical need for the stuff.
The staff I've been dealing with as I try to grasp just the fundamentals have been a great help. They REALLY know their shit & they CARE about their product & customers. The service attitude is superb & I don't imagine it could be faked for long. These are people persons as well as pot enthusiasts.
They're mainly young which is amusing because in my area, most buyers aren't. Many present in very formerly alternative but increasingly mainstream ways, tats, piercings, clothing & hair/makeup styles this old bat is way behind the times trying to identify. But no matter their appearance, they're CLEAN, unfailingly polite & genuinely sociable. They're tactful when they gently probe for the information they need to best meet you, the customer's needs. I've seen the delivery drivers & they too are more than presentable & their vehicles clean.
The idea that Chantal could maintain a facade of customer service, regulate her moods & not display the level of smug, insufferable arrogance we so often witness in her streams makes me giggle. I'd pay to watch her squirm in the face of customers with questions she's in no way capable of answering.
ETA: She'd better get used to not being able to get fast/junk food productswhen she feels she's entitled to them. A lot of drivers & others working food chain logistics are currently sidelined - either down with CoVD or riding out an isolation protocol because of potential exposure. This close to the holidays, store shelves should be crammed with product with only isolated shortages. This year, that's not the case.
