An online recipe that looks like it was made and uploaded in 2002 and it's literally only 2 sentences long. Now, if this is the simple ass recipe they used, then they are retarded. No pictures with only 2 sentences telling you what to do and you pick this recipe out of all the rest of them?

Honestly it's a perfectly fine recipe for a roast, it's written for people who have a rudimentary understanding of cooking.

Marinate the roast in red wine, the wine will likely make some of the juices come out of the roast, and the you turn it into a reduction.

The fatal flaw in their roast misadventure was not using a covered roasting pan and letting the meat dry out.

Of course dumping cheap red wine into beef broth is going to be gnarly. Never change, phil.

Since Phil didn't bother to tell his fans which online recipe he used that was so bad, I had to look myself. Now I may be wrong... but this is literally the only recipe I could find with the keywords "Medieval", "Roast", and "2 cups of red wine" that Phil mentioned they used.

As he's telling it my bullshit meter is going through the roof because he's talking about how the DoorDash / UberEats people are charging 5-6 more dollars to deliver on Christmas and he wasn't gonna do that. Now this is where he's bullshitting somewhere in the story. First of all, this Papa Johns sucks. The place has mad 1 star reviews and complaints, so, why he even called them in the first place without seeing this shit (I mean he was online looking for places and he didn't question the 2-3 stars and the top reviews of 1 stars?) is beyond me.

Second. This place doesn't have dedicated drivers. They use DoorDash exclusively.

So when Phil talks about not ordering from door dash because it's too expensive and then calling the place directly to get it delivered.... Why? It's literally the same people delivering no matter what. Plus, the place is 15 minutes away. Just drive over there and pick it up if he wanted to save money so bad.... oh wait.... the directions require him to get on a freeway for 3 minutes and his weak back might give out. Never mind. Anyways, the story might of been true considering all the bad reviews of this place but probably embellished in typical Phil fashion.

And then he orders Chinese food from the same place he ordered the day before. He cared about the Christmas upcharge from ordering DoorDash with the Pizza place, but didn't care when it came to the Chinese food. Ok.

This whole story just shows how lazy and idiotic THE BOTH OF THEM are. For a while I thought Kat had some endgame where she rides Phil until she can take everything he's got at some point. No. This broad is just straight dumb. Period. Putting sweet corn in corned beef hash? Going along with your dumbass husband to get pizza from a poorly reviewed pizza joint? Using a two sentenced recipe for a roast? Jesus...

I don't get the medieval style means a dry rub, braising and slow roasting it then making a gravy out of the drippings. How is that Medieval?

Now that you point it out, that's true. I'll get all kinds of detractor channels in my recs, but never has DSPGaming itself been suggested. I've had other channels from creators that I've hovered my cursor over weasel into my feed, but never DSPGaming. This can't bode well for Phil's ambitions of getting SuperThanks or whatever, can it? I have to assume anyone who gets that feature is also a channel the algorithm cares about. Detractor content, which is often unmonetizable, still shows up before Phil's actually seriously monetized content.

Even after requesting support on patreon just a couple of days ago, he still cannot be fucked to even attempt to improve his offers or even change it. The fact that it still says twitch is proof that he isn't at all interested in maintaining anything that isn't begging for tips for his gacha.
