So I'm a bit confused here, maybe cause I live on this planet called earth not Goutinuim Ginanus but Stuttering Craig has a lot of stuff going on voice acting, business deals, cameo's in movies, his own podcast, he made game attack then sold his half off but somehow thats "throwing in the towel"?
This is pure DSP cope. Most streamers are aware unless you're making obscene money -- like, top 100 of that Twitch leak kind of money -- you should probably be cultivating contacts and making some side plans, just in case. Even if everything's great now, they're aware that it's fucking streaming, even if the industry doesn't completely change within a couple of years they'll essentially age out of it quick as hell.
DSP, though, is a pariah. He knows deep down there's no launch pad for him anywhere. He's seen everyone, from his (first?) rivalry Hutch making streaming his side hustle after getting flown out to California and his life paid for by early days Machinima, to the lower mid-tier streamers currently going who are leveraging their minor popularity into corporate jobs at tech companies that pay absurd amounts of money for dumb assed jobs and consulting. This is him coping that them acknowledging streaming isn't a "full time" rest of your life job and "throwing in the towel" by cutting back their streaming numbers in exchange for an X Analyst at Twitch job title with its six figure salary, full health and dental, and paid time off is actually weakness. His life of constant begging instead of having any sort of sway or contact with even the most boomer of tech companies and leveraging that into job and life security is being strong and not giving up.
