Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

I have never been a great numbers person so I’ll admit I am confused by this
The info says 3.9 times more likely but the numbers “per 100k” just don’t make sense to me
How are they calculating this ? Also keeping in mind lots
Of kids are getting covid, under 5 and are therefore “unvaccinated”?

But those are the absolute values. Ontario has about 80% of the population vaccinated. If nobody was vaccinated, you'd have much more than a total of 240 Covid patients in ICU, at least 350 more.

This can't be stated as fact. The vaccine trials were ended early and the control groups were vaccinated, meaning that there's little useful data about how much of a difference the vaccines actually make to hospitalisation and mortality. Back-calculating from statistics can be useful, but not that useful without knowing how the vaccine alters relative and absolute risk. What little we've seen from the trials showed that there was virtually no difference in infection rate between vaccinated and unvaccinated people, which alters the arithmetic somewhat.

A lot of you are confused about the numbers. Let me elucidate one massively confounding variable.

You are not "vaccinated" until 2 weeks after your second shot.

Therefore, some number of "unvaccinated in ICU" have actually received one or both shots.

It's worse than just that though. Do you think you are more or less likely to test positive on a PCR test for spike proteins when you just got a shot that causes your body to make spike proteins?

Much more likely, of course.

Probably every jabbed person who goes to the ICU for anything shortly after their shot is an "unvaccinated case".

In this way, all of the most severe adverse vaccine reactions can be statistically recorded as "unvaccinated" hospitalizations and deaths.

Update on the daughter front. I convinced the other side to wait a few weeks. Literally the next day the CDC said the Vaccine does not stop transmission and the mainstream news uploaded the NPC programming patch that runs "loweredexpectations.exe"

I think I might actually win this argument now without much hassle.
I don’t understand how they could make this mandatory when even the CDC now admits what most of us knew: that the “vaccine” does nothing to stop transmission. In fact: even if if does what they claim it does, that would indicate that it makes it more likely to spread because the vaccinated have less or not symptoms and would therefore be able to go out and infect more people without realizing it.

So I sat down and actually watched Joe Rogan the other day, mainly because the episode I chose featured Dr. Robert Malone (the father of mRNA vaccines), and partially because I wanted to see what the fuss was about. I haven't watched the podcast before since I don't typically have the time to listen to long videos uninterrupted.

I was pleasantly surprised that the host's demeanor was exceptionally non-confrontational while at the same time asking questions that furthered the discussion. I also was happy to see that the suppression of Ivermectin and HCQ as potentially therapeutic drugs being suppressed by large pharmaceutical companies was discussed. The long-form discussion was also beneficial in re-raising the points skeptics have been trying to being to light for the past year in terms of side-effects of the vaccines and the vaccine's limited effectivity when compared to acquiring natural immunity to the virus.

incredulous because they did everything right
These are millenials. They are cretins by nature. The "did everything right" statement is used often when these people are upset they didn't get an outcome they felt entitled to. These adult children believe that "success" is just a list of instructions like a board game and that if you do all of the things other people told you to do, you'll get what you want.

No savings, vehicle, or home for most of the generation? "We did everything right, the system has failed us!" No mention of how millenials, "the most educated generation", are also the generation with the most single mothers, the highest rates of drug addiction, and most of their monthly income is spent on drugs, funko pops, and video games. Nor will they admit that their "education" was in fields of study that offer the individual no real-world skills and offer society at-large no value.

Didn't get that promotion? "I did everything right, the company is wrong!" No acknowledgement that showing up late more often than not, being unproductive on Monday after partying all weekend, and spending half of the day socializing instead of working means you're not fit for more responsibility, and just being not a white male doesn't cut it.

Caught a virus? "I did everything right, society should have protected me!" No accepting that you got sick because you were more interested in having fun than following the rules we all learn as kids: Wash your hands, respect everyone's personal bubble, and don't touch strangers. No amount of subordinating your own critical thinking and personal responsibility to others alleviates your own poor decision making.

I may be super high right now but I feel like this is going to be looked back on as one of those bombshell moments that we can't fully appreciate the gravity of tonight. This may unironically be the tipping point.

Is the report by Major Joseph Murphy been released? All I can find are the DARPA rejection documents and a few screenshots of Murphy's reprt from the Veritas video. The screenshots from the Murphy report seem to have the most interesting (and damning) information.

The local radical defund-the-police housing-for-all politicians you voted for didn't get elected? "Clearly it is society that is lost and just doesn't understaaaaaaaaand. FUCK YOU WHITE PEOPLE! omg why aren't white people allying with us?"

Also, never learning that the world around them (human and nature) isn't fair sometimes.

You might be the smartest person out there and never get into the most prestigious schools or get the most fancy jobs or salaries just because.
You might actually do everything right at work (being productive, on time, etc.) and get passed on a promotion just because.
You might wash your hands and sanitize everything and have a healthy diet and still get sick or catch some terminal disease just because.
You might be the best partner/parent/sibling/friend and still have a falling out just because.

Hahaha... My nurse friend got boosted last week and now has Covid. His wife's the one who has been the most pro-vaccine/test/trust-the-government out of everyone I know, and she just called me up incredulous because they did everything right and still caught it.
This is the problem with making catching the coof a unique moral failing. Smokers with lung cancer and fatties with diabetes might feel some regret or shame, because they knew what was coming to them on some level. Non-smokers with lung cancer and non-fats with Type 1 might feel hard done by and like life isn't fair, because it's not and these things unfortunately happen. Vax zealots who get covid get the worst of both, the "why me" disbelief and the shame of being in the same situation as the morally unpure covidiots they took every opportunity to sneer at. All their internet mates they used to circlejerk along with on HermanCainAwards won't believe they "did everything right" because only wrong people get sick. They performed the rituals, wore the talismans and took the communion but their gods of Science have still forsaken them.

It's a deeply sick, religious fundamentalist mindset in people who don't even realise they're religious and it's going to cause problems long after the pandemic is officially over, but it's pretty funny.

Over? What about when the Beta Faggot Zeta variant comes out and whoever your local overlords are deem it necessary to lock you down agian and maybe fuck your wife a bit? There is no over. COVID could be irradicated tomorrow and it wouldn't be "over". It's not about a virus, it's about maintaining power and using fear to do so. They'll see you impoverished, fucked and dead rather then cede any of it.

You know what struck me as weird actually? Statistically, looking at incidence of illness, smokers appeared less likely to catch the coof in 2019-2020 than nonsmokers.

If I had to take a guess, I think the 5 min smoke break might help with that. Smokers are outside more of thier day where as a non smoker is in the a building.

The smoking paradox has to do with the fact that nicotine is an agonist to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, and the cholinergic nervous system is a pathway that modulates inflammatory response. By inhibiting TNF, IL-1, IL-6 and HMGB1 cytokines the affected patient essentially dodges the mechanism that causes things like lung tissue damage and kicks off the death spiral.

Holy shit. Do we finally have an answer for the rabid vaccination campaign?

We're at threat level red around here now, and the evil anchor baby county judge who is gleefully trying to force everyone to mask up again has declared every single person in city ICUs is unvaccinated and refusing to take the vaccine. She's all angry about it, too.

tl;dr - local news is just as pozzed as national. Get your news from China or something.

I don't know how true this is but why can't people understand that there are vaxxed people who are against mandates or have suspicions of the jab? Not everything is black or white..
