No, Cool Cat can do anything. He literally eliminated all bullying and he became student body president. If there's anyone who can bring peace to the Middle East, it's him.

Judging by the fact he got Estrada and was able to participate in the Hollywood Parade, I don't doubt Derek Savage is at least on friendly terms with those people, and then it's less "I think it's a good series" and more "Yeah sure I'll say this soundbite about your fucking movie if it'll make you shut up."

Yeah, how does he even know these people? I know Erik Estrada isn't exactly an A-lister, but he still appeared in a movie that's dumber and cheaper than Birdemic.
It would make sense if Derek Savage worked as a producer/technician/whatever on some Hollywood movies and that allowed him to network with people, but I don't see any evidence of that. All his website shows is Cool Cat and those lulzy books he wrote. So how did he make those connections?

Apparently Cool Cat supports both drug use and cyber profiteering. While I don't think this actually crosses into the legal threshold of cyber squatting (Generally it has to be done with the intention of holding a website name hostage from the matching trademark owner), it's still pretty amazing the balls he has.

Cool Cat (the character) going to the Middle East would be an amazing spiritual successor to The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret.
Cool Cat seems like the right kind of dumbass to be duped into unknowingly setting off a car bomb or trafficking contraband around, like Todd.

Since Derek Savage seems to know some people in Hollywood, I would say they are real but maybe somewhat out of context. It's also much funnier if they are real because you can imagine how Derek got those people to say these things.

I'm guessing friend of a friend type of situation and maybe actors are wiling to pitch in if it's a "for the kids" PSA type of production. I'm more amazed that Empire star Vivica Fox is in it,according to the IMDB page. In other news, Cool Cat has an IMDB listing.
