Snopes is the literal embodiment of the well ackshullly meme. How they have any credibility at this point is beyond me.

Fact Checkers are literally just journalists. They have no special standard or authority and when you look into them, they are often wildly unqualified recent graduates. Merely calling someone a "fact checker" does literally zero to increase their credibility. People are retarded if they believe this magic word bullshit.

Put a different way: fact checkers only exist because journalists were lying so fucking much that people were starting to call them out on it. They desperately needed a way to sound more credible.

Remember that story a couple days ago from NPR claiming Sotomayor asked Gorsuch to wear a mask for her safety and he refused? Turns out the entire story was bullshit and they're both denying it.

NPR makes my blood boil in a way few things can. I have a family member who (thanks to me) listens to them with a cautious ear, and she's always reporting back to me how much they scream on and on about the dangers of "misinformation" and the crumbling of "democracy".

They themselves do things this brazen all the time.
