US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Why in the hell would Joe Biden's handlers would allow him to make public appearances at all? If I was his handlers I would prevent him going public anywhere. I would try to create an image of a mysterious and shadowy president away from the public. At least that would prevent his approval from going down.

The r/politics thread on Biden's press conference is a war zone. Everything criticial of Biden is being mass downvote brigaded, and even despite that some criticism is still getting through

Well, he is the president so it is not like his handlers can stop him if he really wants to go out there. Any of his handlers that would try to block him or physically prevent him from going out there would be handcuffed by SS and taken away.
His handlers could have stopped him by not setting it up in the first place, or by providing him a crutch while he was out there.

Doubtful. He's a president, not an emperor.

What. The fuck. Did I. Just. Watch?

If I was a foreign leader I would be abso-lutely fucking panicking.

You don't know what this senile motherfucker is going to say or do, you don't know if he even understands the words he's saying, you don't know what the fuck is going on with his administration or in his head.

Putin's gotta be saying "Find out just what the FUCK America is doing? Are we at war? Are we at peace? Do I have the go-ahead to absorb the Ukraine? Is Biden sending me flowers? Find the fuck out!"

Back in the 80s the Ruskies got a red alert that American nuclear warheads were inbound to Moscow, the guy reading this information grew certain that this wasn't happening and delayed Russian retaliation and it turned out to be correct as it was a fault with Russian radar and there were no nukes.

Now if that happens they'll wonder if that dementia addled fuck in Washington really did fire nukes on Moscow.

RIP Taiwan and Ukrainians in the Donbass.

I'll give it to Taiwan, they are ones that'll fight the red chinks to their last dying breath. For them Taiwan is the last stand on earth. They're similar to the South Koreans in that regard though the South Koreans get the luxury of recognition as a full nation and also have American military protection on top of their own military.

They've had the threat of Commie China hanging over their heads since the end of the Chinese Civil War and they know that from Mao to Xi they've been eyeing their tiny island like a wolf eyes up a sheep but they'll make the bugs bleed for every inch if it comes to it.

Ok, Psaki, now tell us who in the military leadership do we have to rally behind if we have to go to war?

Because Biden isn't a Commander in Chief, he's a fucking senile fuckwit who probably thinks it's 1965.

It isn't the Joint Chiefs. They're all dick sucking cheese eating deployment dodging shammers.

It sure as fuck isn't any of the leadership I've seen so far.

And the military sure as fuck isn't ready to do anything much more than stand around in different uniforms since the promised rebuild, refit, and reconstitution that should have happened after the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawl isn't happening.

He knows from long experience the Russian playbook?

No he doesn't. He doesn't even know the fucking date and sundowned right on TV.

And Dems don't know how to make war because they think all they have to do is wish hard enough and reality will be what they want.

C'mon man General Mark "WHITE RAGE" Milley will put Putin and those nasty Russians in their place!

A bit of an explanation of what's going on right now. They have three speakers allotted and all so far have gone over their time. This isn't just because they love the sound of their voices. It is a fairly simple and widely used tactic, have some speakers up with a fairly large potential speech and some topics they can waffle on about for a while. then put them up there to have them 'naturally' extend the time between the start of the vote and when the votes are actually cast. Once they get the signal or run out of material, they step down for the next guy.

The idea is that while they talk the leader can make sure that every vote is 100% for their intended goal. Delays indicate that some votes are not locked in. Now, this can spell bad or be completely pointless. For example, a needed senator deciding they want a little bit bigger of a piece of the pie. They will probably vote yes regardless, but you have to handle that to avoid alienating them entirely. Could though also mean things like "Oh fuck we don't have the votes".

It wouldn’t prevent that at all. Biden ran on a “return to “normalcy”” ticket. He’s the only candidate that could play that role. Keeping him locked down just plays into the idea that he’s unfit for office. They’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t but this on the heels of Harris being stuck on stage for 10 minutes before she could speak says to me that they were set up to fail.

I don't think he's got a choice left. Retreating into isolation might piss off one or two people but overall it wont do anymore more damage then what he's already done.

She legit looks like darth zash in that pic

Meanwhile, at the UN, ten minutes after biden made his statement about a minor incursion in kiev:
Can we really say a return of the Soviet Union is a bad thing though? The US needs a serious competitor to understand the value of power politics. The past 30 years has been indolent boomers forgetting every lesson learned about diplomacy, governance, and strategy.

True, but China doesn't need Taiwan yet. They are nothing if not patient, unlike Our Democracy™️. It's not going anywhere.

The most entertaining part to me is that so many of the "controversial" posts in that thread are mostly people who voted for Biden simply asking legitimate questions about what's even going on or offering the very mildest of criticism about him lol /r/politics is like a social experiment to turn an entire subpopulation of people into people as retarded and rabid as Bill Palmer.

What's the point if they don't have the votes to nuke the filibuster anyways? Why not rip off the bandage?
