11/13 Paris Terror Attacks

At least 18 are dead after a series of explosions and shootings. There have been at least 4 separate, but coordinated incidents.

CNN live stream:

CNN also just announced that there are also 60 hostages being held in a theater.

Update: More than 128 dead. We got a new rating. Basically, everything went fucky.

It probably would, and I'm certain it's kill at least a few hundred people anyway.
Meh, so would drinking water from the Ganges.

I mean, I'm sure it's against the rules for good reasons. I guess I'm just surprised by myself that I'm finding that to actually be a plausible idea.

Y'know, for me, it's gotten to the point where that's sounding like a really solid idea. It's a great option for dealing with people who aren't afraid of death. It's humiliating and non-lethal.

My only concern is that it might violate some treaty about biological weapons.

I remember a while ago, ISIS bitching about having to fight female soldiers because they couldn't stand losing to a woman. Like it would prevent them from going to paradise or whatever it is their mythology has for the Good Ending. So there's also that.

Jordan sent in their best female pilots for that very reason.

Why aren't more countries doing this? ISIS is one of the most misogynistic groups on the planet. Getting their shit kicked in by women will seriously lower their morale.

“They arrested Muslims in Greece, Spain, France and Belgium in order to apprehend me … All those arrested were not even connected to our plans! May Allah release all Muslims from the prisons of these crusaders.”
No arrests is necessary if the attacks didn't happen though.

We really shouldn't stoop so low to answer barbaric brutality with petty vengeance like that... but as you say, we're slowly approaching a point where it sounds like a good idea.

Protip for ISIS: Guns work the same way for women as they do for men.

I like this idea that some ISIS guys get obliterated by a woman soldier, go to the afterlife, and are denied entry because they lost to a girl.

Lockheed has duped the air force, navy and marines to waste hundreds of billions of dollars in a completely obsolete and inferior to its predecessors aircraft, the f35,a plane so good that cananda has bailed out of the program and China is building a superior clone using stolen data.
Raytheon was caught in a scandal here for selling inferior and faulty radars to the Brazilian army, and Finland's missiles they bought don't work due to the cold.
General dynamics made the m1 tank and the stryker some seriously bad designs, but they at least work.
They also got dozens of billions by developing a overcomplex and expensive amphibious apc for the marine corps that was cancelled in 2009.

If you can read French, Le Monde has published an eyewitness account from the chief security Guard at the Bataclan. It's an interesting read.
The guy- who happens to be Algerian- explains how they did thir best to help people get out, but he also says: "I'm not a soldier or special ops member, there's little I can do with my little can of mace against a guy with a kalashnilkov."

BBC has updated the list of victims with pictures and little biographical snippets. It brings home just how much of a sensless waste this all is.

And on the subject of people whining about Paris getting "too much" coverage and support compared to other attacks- when there were multiple terror attacks in Tunisia earlier this year, those not only got extensive coverage in the French press, but also a large outpouring of support, complete with "#JeSuisBardo and all. Just saying.

ISIS never shuts the fuck up about the Crusades, geez. It's never "invaders" or "conquerers" or anything like that, it's always "crusaders." Really shows what their mentality is and how huge their victim complexes are ("Evil Christian crusaders are invading our Holy Land!!! How dare they try to stop us from beating and raping young girls and executing anyone who looks at us the wrong way?!?!").

Also, I absolutely love how this little cunt tries to place all the blame on Western countries while simultaneously straddling his high horse. How dare those EVIL CRUSADERS imprison Muslims?! It's not like the entire fucking reason they were arrested in the first place is because you orchestrated a massive terror attack that stole dozens of lives and wounded hundreds more or anything.

Again, this idea is awesome. Having their bases bombed by lady pilots would give them a collective aneurysm.

We need to destroy their will to fight, cut their chain of command, become independent of Arab oil(buy from Russia or Venezuela or use tracking)to enforce serious sanctions for supporting terrorism, place a friendly puppet to control and develop those shitholes, enforce western style education and wait.
Also we need troops there,Americans should be less scared of losing a couple of soldiers.

It's not that simple. ISIS is built upon a core of religious fanaticism that will always confirm win or losses as a sign of the apocalypse. They can never lose under their own standards.
a friendly puppet to control and develop those shitholes, enforce western style education and wait.
One of the reason ISIS exists is because that part of the world is a shithole. I doubt out-and-out installing another administration would fix that.

I think this classes as a terrorist win.
To be fair, there's rumors circling the net about an ambulance truck found in front of the stadion that's filled with explosives. Also some bomb in the stadion itself... nothing confirmed as of now, though.
Merkel, De Maiziere and some local politician were planned to watch the game... so a large attack would have been devastating.

Update:
No indication of any kind of explosives in or around the stadion, as of now.

I'm not saying we should. I'm pointing out that it's hard to demoralize someone who thinking loosing is winning. Knocking out part of their command chain wont be as effective as it should be.
Now's not the time to care how these people feel about winning and losing. Now's the time to care about wether they're alive or dead.

Doing something that wont work very well is pointless. It accomplishes nothing but feeding their religious conviction. We need to start exploiting their fanaticism for our benefit. So far they've successfully leveraged it against us.

This artcle had the idea.
"One way to un-cast the Islamic State’s spell over its adherents would be to overpower it militarily and occupy the parts of Syria and Iraq now under caliphate rule. Al‑Qaeda is ineradicable because it can survive, cockroach-like, by going underground. The Islamic State cannot. "
"If the United States were to invade, the Islamic State’s obsession with battle at *Dabiq suggests that it might send vast resources there, as if in a conventional battle. If the state musters at Dabiq in full force, only to be routed, it might never recover."
*Dabiq is the battleground where the endtimes will occur.

Potentially that strategy has more legs than just knocking out a few commanders and turns their conviction into a weakness.
