It's the kind of goofy argument someone would make tongue-in-cheek with a friend, but he was using it as an "own" against a man earnestly telling him to kill himself for being a pedophile.

There were some really distinct tells which came out from that stream. Gator mentioned at some point that Ralph has a sincere belief that the Internet at large is intentionally manoeuvring to psychologically 'break' him, feeding into his paranoia and determination to not show any weakness because then 'they' will win. Ralph has reached a point in his paranoia where he seems to be under the impression that there is an active conspiracy set against him. Anyone who is even remotely negative about him immediately gets categorised as a 'they' or 'them' belonging to 'the enemy.' He is incapable of differentiating between the actions of an individual from even their thinnest associations and it showed throughout his crying whenever he really jarringly jumped from subject to subject about various people ridiculing him like Jim was somehow responsible for it, in between the frequent references to a nebulous 'them.' At points it was like an unironic schizophrenic stream of consciousness he was vomiting out from himself in a way that doesn't make sense unless you're so deluded that you think everyone always knows exactly what you think and mean because you've developed a certainty that reality revolves around you.

The moment when Jim straight up told Ralph that he's spiralling and he responded with something along the lines of "yah you knohw ahve heard that narrative ah think people ahre tryn ta mahyke me think that" really exposes it for me. He's so convinced in this coordinated World vs Ralph fantasy that Jim being in on a concerted effort to mindfuck Ralph is more likely than he is factually losing his mind and it's so apparent that just about everyone who encounters him is able to see it and point it out. If he wasn't so perpetually embroiled in self-made Internet spats I am positive he would be the type who ends up subscribing to shit like gangstalking. He is digging his own grave and he's too stupid/too drunk/too drugged/too bitter to realise it enough to be more than infuriated whenever someone else dares remark upon it.
