Canada is a dystopian shithole. Despite more than 50% of adults having their first vaccine shot and the juiced covid numbers beginning to dwindle lower and lower, the government has said that "once we reach 75% of everyone 12 and older having their first vaccine shot, and 25% having their second vaccine shot, then you will be allowed to socially distance and interact with small groups of other partially vaccinated individuals outdoors (while masked, of course). You will also be allowed to do outdoor activities like hiking and camping". They've also said not to expect things like gyms being allowed to reopen until the fall, when "at least 75% of everyone 12 or older has been fully vaccinated".
Fucking Ontario has been under lockdown since last October. And it basically never ended. Ontario has a population of 14 Million people. It's fucking insane. America, please nuke Canada to put us out of our misery.
Also, the government keeps trying to shame people not getting the vaccine as "anti-vaxxers", but here's the fun difference: The Federal Government bungled procuring enough vaccines on time, so even if you wanted to get the vaccine, good luck finding anywhere where it's in stock. People are waiting in like 6 hour lines for the chance to try to get the stupid fuckin vaccine. And yet, it's apparently all the anti-vaxxers fault, not the inept government.
You want to know why they're basically locking down until the fall in Canada? Because they were so shit at getting enough vaccines on time that they're doing some really ghetto shit up here. Right now, if you get the first vaccine injection, they tell you that you can get you next shot 4 months later. Oh, and also if you got the AstraZenica shot (before it was banned), your second shot will just be Pfizer or Moderna, like some mix and match shit. They're literally making up science bullshit to justify their incompetence. I swear, I think the reason they're dragging their feet on authorizing the use of the J&J vaccine up in Canada is because it would defeat their little fucking game of "wEll yOuRe nOt fUllY vAcCinAted sO tImE foR mOrE MasKs aNd lOcKdOwnS, bIgoT".
Also, the horseshit mandatory quarantine upon re-entry in this country where they make you pay 2K to stay in a shithole hotel, making taking a vacation untenable to the non-elite. And do you want to know why they came up with this shit in the middle of January, despite it already being almost a year since covid got into the country? It was a bullshit deflection policy because a shit-ton of Canadian politicians got caught going to the Caribbean islands for a Christmas vacation after advocating for more lockdowns and restrictions. Such fucking bullshit.
If any American kiwis are willing to do a green card marriage fraud scheme in minecraft, I will pay you $20k in American Fortnite V-Bucks to get me out of this shithole quickly, and avoid the wait to get to Florida via H-1B or O-1B which could take a couple years.
