I just want to say, that I initially looked through the cameras, many weren't disabled, some were (15%, but not enough to matter). Here is what really mattered though, the refresh rates on the cameras were shit. It didn't matter that they were "operational" if they refreshed once every 1-2 hours. Meanwhile other approved agencies get normal video feeds not available to the public. 5 frames per second would have been nice, but noooope. That image linked in the "I'MDEBOOONKING!" article is not available to the general public.

"Oh yes, we left the cameras working! That's debookned! 1 frame of video every 1-2 hours is plenty for you, you filthy pleb."

Show me where I can access that particular camera, and angle in that article. I'll wait. They reference the keel st. overpass on highway 401. No, seriously someone show me how to access that particular angle/resolution. Oh, and that "perma. cc" gay ass excuse for some kind of archive site is broken as fuck, and does not show the camera angle in the article either!

They are planning to go after the truckers funds with retroactive legislation (that I don't think they have a chance to get ratified anyway). The city plans to reimburse the businesses (that the city demanded be closed) with a CERB-like system (CERB was disastrously abused already (archive)). I think city council are trying to cover their own asses from being sued by business-owners who wanted to stay open. This would've been a huge boon to local business.

The video you posted is the backlog into the states. I'm close to the area and I'll be in Windsor tomorrow for other events so I can view the ground then and give an update on what I see.
So the protestors took advantage of in the offload section from the bridge that connects to the rest of the town, at 23:55 you can see the area they brought their cars to block the lane but you'll also see a police blockade.

The only way to begin this blockade somewhere else, is the mcdonalds right past from the area.

The other cars are mostly located on the Huron Church Rd, which is where regular backups do occur but its not too easy to blockade.
Once you get by the McDonalds there's multiple ways trucks could get back onto the 401.

The longevity for this blockade is minimal and the current path is quite easy for towing to be pulled in reverse fashion, which I'm sure the Windsor Police will be doing. I don't expect this to be up tomorrow, and if it is, I can probably get pictures when I'm in the area.
