Fallout series

Thinking of replaying New Vegas again but what's with all the troons and shit obnoxiously "claiming" the game?

I'm like, 99% sure that's a forced meme from /v/ from Fallout 3 fans. They just use a vocal minority of tranny New Vegas fans to overblow it.
Probably explains it since the memes have groomer undertones. Probably going to do a melee wild card character and kill everybody I disagree with.

How viable is melee/unarmed if your not interested in chugging a million chems in any moderately difficult fight?

Ballistic fist/remnant power armor combo is op as fuck. New Vegas is one of the best rpgs if hand to hand is your thing.

Get the bloody mess perk too and you can literally punch people into pieces.

How's the early game power curve with it though? I know you can get spike knuckles in primm at least

Get the built to destroy trait. You get a +3 crit chance at 15% increased weapon wear. But if you're going to go bare knuckles unarmed for the first 10 or so levels, it's extremely fucking broken as your fists cannot wear out or break. Split your SPECIAL investments in Strength and Luck to increase damage and critical hit chances.

I'm still waiting for the new release of TTW.
What the fuck is happening? Neither the Discord or the official page had info about a TDA or a actual date.
I found some nasty bugs with the current version and i'm still eagerly to replay both games.

Am I the only one that always saw the fact that TLW and The Courier learning perks at different rates kind of an interesting dynamic? Since it implies TLW is a fast learner that can quickly adapt to the wastes given their young age. Meanwhile The Courier, being canonically older (around maybe their early 30's) has a harder time learning new tricks (still able but it takes more personal "experience" to learn them)

It canonically makes sense for both characters to adquire perks at different rates. I always had this "headcanon" vault dwellers are quick learners given their vault raising, making them stand out if they are able to survive that long. Meanwhile wastelanders are far more naturally adapted but have a harder time learning new skills given they usually stick to a winning strategy (to a fault with some) to survive the wastes.

It's just a mechanic to make it more similar to Fallout 1 & 2 where you only got a Perk every three levels (four if you took the Gifted trait). Don't overthink it.

Nah, it's just Bethesda not understanding how proper character progression works in a Fallout game/dumbing it down for the masses. Obsidian tried to reach a middle ground in NV.

I like to mod the perk learning rate in NV to be one every three levels rather than two like in the old games.

Maybe I didnt make it clear but Im very aware thats what it ultimately is

It was just something that just fit pretty well in my book, thats all

I think the biggest issue I have with new Vegas's DLC's is honestly their attempts to add difficulty honest hearts is just fine in that regard but dead money is... dead money where its many issues feel more frustrating and annoying than challenging really. Old world blues has very irritating bullet sponge enemies thatbeath through your armor durability. Lonesome toad's regular enemies are dine but the issue is definitely the fucking deathclaws and satchel charges tunelers can be a bit irritating too I suppose

Eh, Honest Hearts gets its licks in too. Green Geckos, those giant Cazadores, and White Legs with fucking anti-material rifles all peg the bullshit meter at almost unacceptable levels.

maybe it's just because the white legs are made of paper durability wise but I can handle them for the most part

It will never be quite as annoying as Point Lookout having mega mutated hillbillies that fight better than power armored soldiers while using simple hunting weapons. I just personally found the forced circumstances of Dead Money to be more annoying than immersive.
