Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

In the white collar world, it’s generally pretty hard to get fired for general low-level incompetence - you’d have to fuck something up REAL bad for the company to actively fire you. What’s more likely to happen is that you’ll just be the first in line when the next round of layoffs come.

Something else you have to realize is that many, if not most, workplaces run on 50% productivity max. You may think you’re being unproductive but it’s very possible you’re actually above average.
It drops to 10-15% efficiency when you look at the public sector.

PROTIP: If you're autistic enough not give a shit whether your coworkers like you and uninterested in climbing the corpo ladder, you can do this indefinitely and everyone is too cucked to be anything more than vaguely passive-aggressive.
I don’t give a shit what others think about me but I do want to be able to move forward with my career.

Corpo life is not for me, I’m happier with midsize or small sized businesses (except for start ups). They tend to appreciate initiative. It’s not that start ups are bad but I prefer companies that don’t rely on angel investors. For every start up that succeeds there are dozens that go under.
In my experience, it's because both the staff and the employer have no idea how to address the problem nor do they have the experience to fix it themselves NOR do they have the will or forethought to try and find their own solution. If you don't point out the problem, you don't have to fix it. What you did was point out something no one can fix or no one has the will to address. White collars throw money and products at a problem until it goes away. Blue collars are problem solvers.
Yes, and it’s not helped by endless bureaucracy that is constantly trying to shove the problem on someone else.
I explicitly stated the issue is governmenr collusion with industry. A Libertarian model of government keeps this from happening by avoiding regulation of the market. You will never have zero regulation as certain things like FCC restrictions on radio frequencies are necessary (in the days of analog broadcast there was no channel 1 on tv because that frequency was reserved for public safety communication as an example) but outside of what can be evidentiary justified in a court of law, there should be no regulation of the market, and any such regulations must come about as a result of human activity and not government fiat, such as the new mandate for remote kill-switches in cars beginning next year.
I agree that markets and government needs to be separated, just like government and church are separate. We need to have as open of a market as possible. Imo some regulations have to exist especially in regards to food for safety concerns but even so most of the regulations needs to be done away. It should be relatively cheap and easy to set up a restaurant, barbershop, etc.

A part of the solution imo would be to keep companies out of government, so restricting lobbyists, which is currently impossible since “corporations are people.” This won’t ever happen, especially by the left, since they won’t let go of megacorps’ teats.

Commercial band restrictions are not necessary. They weren’t necessary in analogue and they certainly aren’t necessary in digital. The FCC only needs to designate public service channels. The DoD can handle military channels. We don’t need the FCC to regulate things like bandwidth, power levels, etc. It only stifles innovation. TV broadcasts are still stuck on 1080i/6-channel audio here. It’s ridiculous.

In 2018, I was involved in a $100 million refit of a very large industrial machine. We busted our asses for months getting everything installed and documenting every part and every terminal in every cabinet.

Last I heard, the documentation department still hasn't filed any of it nearly 4 years later. If you're in a job that everyone considers "important" but isn't affecting profitability on a moment-to-moment basis, you can basically do no work your entire career.

I believe the spirit of Canada has selected me for some greater purpose.
We should've went with the wild turkey for the national bird down here... Would be a lot more signs like this.
Edit: Can you hunt Canadian Geese up there? We can down here. Not being able to hunt turkey would be a great loss.

Nah, I totally get it. There's just something about having your windows open on a cool spring night and hearing the distant rumble and the horns blaring in the distance. It's a very familiar sound and comforts me.
That’s the sound of industry and civilization my brother. Our triumph over nature. Of course it’s comforting.

Mormons are cucks. Get the Dutch Reformed churches down there on your side if you actually want to accomplish something. They probably already are.

One of the reasons that got slapped down was because it was basically a "corpos giving to republicans is illegal" law. The "charities" and "organizations" of the left were astonishingly exempt.

It wasn't this miraculous law that limited everything to only personal donations.

What Government should do in my opinion:
Ensure ethical work, health, legal, and safety practices
Ensure building codes
What the public should do in my opinion:
Boycott your ass if you act like a jerk to your customers

I realize this wasn’t always possible in the old days but this is the age of twitter and internet if a business is being racist fucks then let the free market decide their fate. I mean book publishers have far more rights to refuse to give people service than Starbucks and whil I get the general gist as to why that is I think it is a load of bullcrap.
Markets regulate themselves. To open a business, most people need a bank loan. That loan will require insurance. The insurance industry can implement and enforce building codes via the denial of service.

Government is not needed for this. Insurance companies will maintain high standards to reduce their own financial liability.

Leafs, you fucking magnificent bastards. You accomplished something magical and it wasn't even in your fucking country.

The Honkpocalypse, predictably, had a knock-on effect. And the truckers of NY decided to replicate it on a smaller scale here.

The thing is, Manhattan is only 16 square miles and even the tiniest disruption will cause gridlock for miles. So all it was realistically going to take was a few people taking the initiative and going: "You see that there Ottawa thing? That, except we target the bridges." And so they did.

Hochul caved in only a few days, it's kind of amazing.

Let's hope it isn't vaccine or nothing.

I thought Kenney would be their boy.
Kenney is their boy. His whole anti-ottawa kabuki dance has been nothing but a joke this whole time. He is an Ontario federalist that was parachuted into this province to try and make a run for the PM position, until Covid derailed his political career.

In one recent display of moon logic, the Canadian activist, writer and self-described socialist Nora Loreto complained that “labour” was invisible in the resistance to the “fascist” truckers that had occupied Ottawa. An exasperated comrade chimed in with a story of being a shop steward for a teamster (truck driver) union, and — horror of horrors — the painful truth was that many teamsters were more likely to be in the protest themselves than protesting against it.
When I was a kid the shop stewards I knew (as in, my father knew and I met) did things like chain-smoking and taking multihour lunches at the track. The idea of one of them being on Twitter is patently absurd, even if it had existed back then.

The modern left in a nutshell: It's Twitter fags all the way down.
