Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

One channel I would recommend is Tara A. Devlin. She covers a lot of japanese horror stories, legends and mysteries that people in the West would otherwise never hear about it.
Her narration is good and she doesn't force anything. Her "series" on Internet Mysteries from Japan is pretty cool, a lot of weird stuff.
She's one of my favorites and her channel is still small, I think she could use more love. I like how she covers weird events that happened during the Tokugawa and Showa periods. She was doing a Fatal Frame 5 let's play, but that's on pause because the game fucks up her computer.

So I listened to Wendigoon's appearance on Turkey Tom's Podcast.

He's a ShoeOnHead fan.

A Modern ShoeOnHead fan.

Let's enjoy him before he inevitably cows out.
i kinda assumed he leans left despite being accused of the oposite. Hope he is smart enough to keep the personal powerlevel from seeping into the content one way or the other.
I give him points for doing good so far playing it straight and the closing patreon thing but filming himself crying about christcuckery was pretty gay ngl.

My personal favorite Night Mind moment is when he covered Eroda, and was like "NO GUYS, THIS IS A REAL ARG NOT VIRAL MARKETING FOR HARRY STYLES"

And when it was revealed that it WAS viral marketing for a Harry Styles album he got SO pissed and never covered or talked about it again.

Seeing his smug know-it-all ass get owned by the dude from One Direction was so satisfying.

Hes deffinelty not left given some of his posts on twitter talking about not eating the BUGS and reposting trust the science bro stuff. He also follows Sam hyde on there.

Why must everything be an ARG to Night Mind? It's hilarious though how he got owned by One Direction of all places.

Wendigoon is a Sunday school teacher. Even the nicest ones are bound to have a few broke-brain ideas. It's understandable he isn't the mostly worldly of chaps. I don't expect a good Christian type to share all my sensibilities.

He could very well cow out if the support and/or internet circlekjerks about being a good Christian get to his head though. So Wendigoon, if for some ungodly reason you're on this site, don't look at this thread and feel like a big man. We're glad you're doing well, but some praise from the Kiwifarms does not equal brand loyalty.

He still seems pretty humble considering he reached 1,000,000 subscribers and closed his Patreon because he can live off of ad-sense money now. And I doubt he quit being a Sunday school teacher, he comes off as genuine for once.

Everyone is hoping to discover the next Marble Hornets, so they latch on to whatever weird video they find and go "IS THIS AN ARG??" I think a lot of people are forgetting that the most successful recent ARGs had media tie-ins and marketing companies dedicated to developing them and the fan bases to sustain them. Marble Hornets was an outlier and many have tried to emulate their success, but they pretty much all fizzle out once they start gaining attention.

I enjoy her channel a lot. She seems super sweet, and I really like hearing all types of stories from other countries,
NM is the kind of guy you never want to agree with. He's like the stereotypical movie nerd who fully believes he appreciates movies on a different level than anyone else, except on his case it's even more obnoxious because he's getting pretentious over youtube ARGs.

He comes in at the end of the video with the extremely controversial take that MC is, in fact, not very scary, and instead of just saying all the attempted scares look goofy as fuck he goes on a long ass tangent about how fear is subjective and he's immune to the jumpscare tactics after being exposed to them for all these years and knowing all the horror tropes.

Nick is jumping in on the bandwagon way too late, his analysis is completely surface-level and he really adds nothing of value to the discussion of the series, which unfortunately isn't all too rare for him.
Who wants to watch him lecture about how superior he is to the viewer for being to cool for the subject matter? Fart sniffer.

...MC is overhyped, though.
