I'm not particularly inclined to believe anything he says. I remember when "late stage capitalism" was making the rounds on 4chan and eventually those people got run off and the threads disappeared because no one who repeats that has any clue about economics work and usually thinks that Star Trek style socialism is actually achievable.

Lecturing people on how he definitely didn't troon out for career reasons was another one. Trooning out is a grift, he should know that, and even if he went with the "I was trans before I started wearing the wig reeeee", then...maybe "dress up" by not wearing the wig?

People who are actually happy and content in their lives don't need to go on social media and tell everyone how happy and content they are because they're too busy being happy and content in the real world.

Plus it's fucking impossible to spend as much time on Twitter as Jim and other sad-sacks like Moviebob or Pigrick Tomlinson do and not be miserable.

It's like they think they're the smartest guys in the room for figuring out what a speculative bubble is. Most people didn't need to be told that Beanie Babies were a fad that wouldn't be worth tens of thousands of dollars by now, but there will always be a small percentage of marks who will greedily fall for any perceived opportunity to get rich. Or for another example, people who make fun of flat earthers, as if knowing the Earth isn't fucking flat is some sort of achievement to pat yourself on the back for.

I'd honestly have more respect for Jim and his ilk if they were trying to insult women with their low-effort skinwalking.

At least then there would be a sort of Monty Python-esque humour to it all instead of being a break-neck race to the bottom for every western society.

I don't know where the claim came from exactly but back when it happened I saw a lot of people saying that was what was planned, as in, officially.
