No, it's deserved. Being one of those "university intellectuals" Ted mentions, Jordan Peterson only seems to provide solutions and insight, when really he is just long-windedly saying very simple, obvious stuff. Any one of these truckers can just drive to the US and claim (legitimately) political asylum after the heavy handed crackdown, and Quebec/Manitoba/Saskatchewan/Alberta have not been appreciative of the heavy handed government tactics even before an old woman got violently trampled by horses.

Well, various countries around the world had noticed. China and Russia were shading Canada. It wasn't enough of a scene yet to get the majority of people around the world. I know my leftist friends don't speak of it, but I'm sure they noticed. They just can't say anything because they would have to condemn protesting and they love protesting when it's their pet interests. Better to just pretend you haven't see a thing.

If the Truckers stood their ground as the government beat down 10 more crippled first nations grannies, more people would not be able to look away. Then 100, then 1000. I half agree, half disagree
The ruling class is made up of people. Fear is a big motivator for people. BLM got politicians and most of corporate America to capitulate to them because BLM was insanely violent, and never let up on it. I'm not endorsing violence but violence is political power.

But it's also optically horrible, and probably only effective if it's very coordinated. The left's protests wouldn't be so effective if they weren't violent in such a monolithic, coordinated way. Anyone who calls for peace at an antifa/BLM riot is bullied for shifting the narrative.

A protest should either be uniformly peaceful or uniformly violent. Conservatives aren't capable of the latter due to principles, the "honorable loser" streak, whatever you wanna call it. Violence is very effective but these guys shouldn't use it because they can't and won't go all in on it.
