I don't think that's really evasion you're seeing. I think it's ignorance and embarrassment. I believe her when she said she gave the money to Dean, but she also knows this case took a wrong turn into bizzaroland at some point and she's probably just as confused as everybody else now. She tried to do a decent thing. As did a lot of people. It didn't work. I feel for her.
