Yeah, it's not great. Pair that with the average Army unit's tendency to get on line and trade ineffective SAF with a far ambush element for 45 minutes or more while talking fires or CAS/CCA on station and... it's just a boondoggle for ammo and ordnance manufacturers.Bro you have no idea. Ive seen hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of ammo blindly shot at a hill...followed up by jdams and mortars.
All because some Iraqi guy had exhaust problems
Its not a stretch to say we scorth the earth when attacked. The situation often devolves into high school hearsay and talk about "i saw a guy doing such and such" when no guy ever existed. Its just stress and emotions
One of the good things about the Marines is they will generally attempt to get up and maneuver on the enemy if they are just taking ineffective fire. Not to take away from the good Army units but I just got sick of having to yell "fucking start flanking" on every contact.
