Once the capital is fully taken cease fire negotiations should come shortly after, people will starve in the city if they lose control in Kyiv.
If Zelensky is caught I think cease fire negotiations are likely, as for the people in the city starving I am sure it has happened a thousand times throughout the history of warfare. While I don't think a government in the modern day would be wiling to let a entire city starve it is an option that is on the table if the rest of Ukraine is still willing to fight. Such is the brutality of war if this is to occur.

Watching countrymen get slaughtered defending your country so you take time to make a TikTok for internet points. Really finding it harder and harder to empathize with the Ukranian plight
I, for one, am very appreciative that terminally online zoomers are posting war correspondence TikToks for my entertainment.

Man this whole thing doesn't make sense to me, of course to be fair I'm a retarded zoomer in most peoples eyes here but if someone could explain one key thing I'd be real appreciative. Why the hell are the troops spread out so much? To minimize damage from an aerial bombardment and perform a pincer attack on the capital? That would make sense to me if Ukraine were an actual threat compared to Russia but they're not, if they just blitzed the hell out of them this would all be over already and they would have had the capital forever ago.

yeah and russia shouldn’t be struggling as hard as they are. russia is top 3 most powerful militaries in the world lmfao.
They are trying not to destroy Kiev and kill a bunch of civilians. They could rolled right through Kiev and razed it last night. You should be happy they're trying to limit casualties and damage to infrastructure.

Its day 2 nigger and Russia has only committed a third of its available resources. Desert storm took 3 weeks and Iraq was smaller and the capability gap even bigger
Indeed

I know Kiev is the primary target for the Russians right now but after they take it, what then? I know the idea is that countries generally surrender once their capital is lost but who is to say the Ukrainian government won't fight on?

If the government remains in Kiev and they capture the government itself, they can negotiate something. If the government flees and tries to set itself up somewhere else, they would probably make that their next target. If they capture Kiev, they could also form their own new government for Ukraine. They have multiple options.

But we still don't quite know what the Russian plan is. They seem to have something in mind, but its not clear specifically what.

Ye. Even Poland didn't fall in 48 hours. I know there's new technology and shit, but so does Ukraine. Anti-air, automatic weapons and overall better training makes steamrolling a whole country harder, especially if Putin is on purpose leaving troops behind.

The thing that gets me is the whole narrative is retarded. My family is cheering that Ukraine is curb stomping Russia one minute, the next they are in tears because all of the orphanages have been bombed, every woman in sight is being gang raped and they're beheading the families of all Ukrainian soldiers.

If you're going to believe propaganda at least pick one narrative ffs

sorry just seems like a cope to me. from what i’m seeing and reading all the downed planes, casualty reports, looks pretty grim for the russians considering their standing before they started the invasion.
If you're stuck to fucking twitter you might think that Russia was holding out in the fucking Caucasus against the gigachad Ukrainian heroes, but in reality they're making gains nonetheless of all the videos Twitter and reddit is feeding to their audience.

watch out PUTIN 🤬🤬

in all seriousness i find it fucking hilarious how Putin is just like the ultimate bad guy for american liberals. and the cringeworthy takes the media and the liberals themselves have about him is so funny.
Oh yeah, Ukraine is like, totally tolerant and understanding of homosexuality.

Well there are worse places to be gay, but social acceptance in eastern Europe isn't the greatest.

Doesn't matter, there are spare Putins standing by.
Whack a bin Laden, an ISIS will rise in it's place.

Whoever loses, the oligarchs win.

Sometimes that can go the other way though. Vietnam for instance was certainly an example of one side winning the real war because they won the propaganda war.
Naturally.

Unfortunately for Ukraine, Russia is not the US, and they're more or less immune to public opinion swings for the foreseeable future. It's not like Putin cares about what the average gopnik thinks of the war, so long he doesn't steer them directly into a disaster.
