God I love the hoops Russiaboos have to jump through to justify themselves. :story:

They always resort to "Putin is just trying to keep NATO from being globohomo", when if you presented Putin with a magic button to suddenly recreate the Eastern Bloc, you bet your ass he would press it in a heartbeat.

This is an MSM talking point that bears little basis in reality. It's more likely he wants to create a pan-Russian state. Poland isn't even in his revanchist ambitions.

By the way, Belarus is holding a constitutional referendum today that will essentially secure the power of the Pro Russian elite in Belarus even after Lukashenko retires.

Any guesses on how the vote will turn out?

I'm hovering somewhere between 98 and 99 per cent in favour of the new constitution.
Just read about it. Today is the last day of the referendum and since Tuesday 43% of the people voted already. Of course the opposition boycotts it, so it will be approved by 95% of the voters.

"We didn't actually mean it when we said we wouldn't encircle you with your former satellites so you can't be upset about it."
It was the peak of post-Cold War arrogance to think the world's #2 military would tolerate having hostile foreign allies on its direct border with missiles aiming at it. Look how close they put their country to our military bases.
So Russia is a fat bitch on the subway complaining how "you're sitting too close to her" because she's taking up more than her actual seat. Got it.

Ukrainian troops are still in control of Orikhin in the Zaporizhia Oblast. The town is about 65 km southeast of the city of Zaporizhia.

There are continuing battles in the surrounding area.

Edit, Ukrainian not Russian

Obvious and monumentally retarded if it isn't the Russians just covering for screwing up and not bringing in more forces. If they aren't lying and genuinely thought Zelensky would negotiate and stopped their offensive on account of this they're morons.
Aparently Zelenskyy tried to get the meeting in Turkey, Poland or China But the Kremlin refused and stood firm that it was to be held in Belarus.

That given that it will never be anything but a proxy for more powerful foreign countries the one it has historic, demographic and geographic ties with is the one to be ruling it.
Ahhh, so becasue it is a proxy it is right to kill people and destroy their livelihood!

Putin just got fucking destroyed. It's over bros. Ukraine won.

I still stand by my "fuck Putin" statement, but I hate how when you do something awful, suddenly you're stripped of all of your achievements and contributions. You're awful and that's that.

How BPD of this planet.

The guy posted photos of bombings and asked people to support "civilian victims". After ton of support and sympathy, he revealed that he pictures were of serbian civilian victims of NATO's bombardment in 1999. After some sperging towards him, he was reported and banned, because "that was entirely different thing".

Serbniggers never missing a chance to bawwwww about getting a bloody nose when the international community pushed back against their genocide.

After seeing all the fuckups the Russians have made in this what should have been simple and easy to wrap up invasion with Ukraine, saying the Russian Federation is going to outlast or win against western governments is pure unadulterated cope.

Like the Ghost of Kiev; Sam Hyde?
Like the brave Spartans of Snake Island led by Sam Hyde?
Like the Ukrainian Reaper AKA Sam Hyde?

in English speaking media, the cope is flowing in one direction. No one really knows how well or lack thereof Russia is doing. We're seeing a standard Liberal media tactic going on of blowing up their opposition just to knock it down. The 300 pound muscle bound chad who gets beaten by the 5'1 lean girl. Ukraine has a decent army, is Western funded and from what I've seen, Russia isn't using all their troops. The only impressive moves that occurred were the Southern thrust and the airfield at Kiev. Everything else is pretty standard and the fact that "Little Ukraine" is holding off "Big Russia" for more than 4 days shouldn't be a surprise.

It took more than 4 days for Hitler to conquer Poland, and Poland wasn't having men and weapons smuggled into them from the USSR.

Right now its looking to be an even quicker conquest than Iraq 2003. Though with much heavier losses on the Russian side, than the americans suffered in Iraq.

People have been getting killed in Ukraine for 8 years and have been killed in retarded proxy wars for the past 30 years on much more specious pretexts. That's what happens in war. The US blew smoke up the asses of the clowns they propped up in Kiev for 8 years and got them to this point, refusing anything except Ukraine as a territory hostile to Russia, taking neither the Minsk off-ramps or letting Zelensky follow up on his election position of normalizing relations. This was inevitable.

The most interesting thing I learned is that there are large deposits of natural gas in the Black Sea around Crimea. They're large enough that if Ukraine was able to exploit them they'd be in direct competition with Russia and I think that explains the Crimea situation and why Russia has their best troops on that front: Putin wants to separate Ukraine entirely from the Black Sea.

My armchair general take on it: Russia wants everything east of the Dnieper and south from Transnistria to the Dnieper.

Learned that in this video by RealLifeLore:

It's fucking insane that people are cheering on and supporting them handing out guns to random civvies, a move that has zero strategic advantage and will get tons of civilians killed pointlessly. It's even worse if that's what they're hoping will happen for PR purposes. Yet people are cheering it on as a great thing and if you question its brilliance it must be because you love Putin
